SERIES: Market Garden #8
AUTHOR: L.A. Witt & Aleksandr Voinov
PUBLISHER: Riptide Publishing
LENGTH: 219
BLURB:
When Blake Raleigh’s favorite rentboys retire from Market Garden, they’re sure their friend Jason will be a perfect replacement. Though Tristan and Jared are a tough act to follow, Blake returns to London to test out their recommendation.
Jason is right on the money. Negotiations turn him on. Getting paid turns him on. The higher the stakes, the hotter things get. Each trip to London is more expensive than the last, and the webcam sessions don’t run cheap, but Jason is well worth the sticker shock.
The more time they spend together, the more Blake wants, and not just sex and transactions. But Jason’s been burned before by men who thought they were in love with him, and he’s not making that mistake again. When the lines between personal and professional start to blur, it’s going to take more than money, jewelry, and sports cars to keep Jason from clocking out and walking away.
REVIEW:
YES! Rolex gets his book and his man…. I have been waiting for this book for a long time and it was sooooo worth the wait.
Here a quick bit of background if for some reason you have NOT read the Market Garden Books: Market Garden is a high-end club well stocked with beautiful men, for sale for the right price. This series of books follows the shenanigans of the boys who work there as they meet their Johns, many of which turn out to be more than that. Way back in book one, we meet Jared and Tristan, and their man for the evening, who they nickname Rolex, for the lovely gold watch on his arm. Rolex is a high roller, who likes to watch, and sometimes participate. He appears in a couple of books, but we only see him from the perspective of Jared and Tristan, and never learn his name. Until now.
Blake is a wealthy successful American, traveling to London frequently for work. He has been coming to Market Garden for some time, having decided that it is easier to pay for companionship that deal with the disappointment of discovering his lover only wants him for his money. Which I found funny, since he’s paying rentboys with money…. but anyway. So he’s been seeing Jared and Tristan, who have paired up and retired. They recommended he find Jason, who may be to his taste. He is happy to find that Jason does meet his needs quite well!
Jason is a prostitute and loves it. He has a money kink, he loves to negotiate for his earnings, the negotiation being part of the turn on. Yes, He has sex for money, but he does it not just for the money in his bank account, but for the thrill of the hunt, the negotiation, the cash and the pretty trinkets he gets. He loves sex and loves money so he is totally in the right line of work! What he doesn’t need or want is a boyfriend to tell him what to do, or a sugar daddy trying to save him from his life. He makes a lot of money, has hot sex, and travels. Perfect! He hears from Tristan and Jared that a man they call Rolex may come looking for him. And he does…
So, this is one hot book! Jason is a rentboy, Blake hires him and they fuck and fuck. Blake pays massive amounts of money to be with Jason. They keep in touch when Blake goes back to the US, and Jason sets up a nice surprise for Blake via Skype, that lets Blake indulge in his kink of watching men fuck. We get a nice threesome, with Jason and some surprise friends, while Blake watches from afar. We also get a nice foursome when Blake goes back to London! Yes, multiple partners, I know that freaks some people out, but Blake and Jason are not a couple and it is not weird at all. It is just hot and yummy!
A whole lot of this book is Jason and Blake having sex, but underneath that something more is building. You’ll have to read it to see what!
What I love about these books is that the rentboys aren’t miserable. They don’t need to be saved from their life of prostitution. This is not Pretty Woman, they aren’t looking for love or rescue. Jason is happy as he is, he knows at some point he won’t be able to do this but he’s got time. Blake, as a business man himself, gets this. I’m trying to skirt around spoilers here, but I liked how this book ended, without Jason being “saved” by Blake. I was left wanting to know what happens next? What do these men do in a year or two? How is this going to work? I’m so curious!
I love these two authors, they write some kinky books, but also ones with great characters. My only complaint was we don’t get to know Jason as well as I’d like. I would have liked to see Jason from the inside, get his thoughts and background, to understand what he was wanting and getting out of this. But that’s it! Other than that I loved this book. Obviously it has lots of sex, more sex that plot actually, but that isn’t a bad thing at all. My favorite scene was Blake fucking Jason on the hood of his $200,000 red Lamborghini. Damn. Who doesn’t have a fantasy like that? Seriously?
I loved it! Loved seeing Rolex get his man, loved the plot even though it was pretty basic, loved the characters, loved the kinky sex, loved the multiple partners, and loved the ending. Go Rolex!
