REVIEW:
Kent McMann is a free-spirited computer programmer who loves his family, candy and his job designing apps. Kent has decided the time is right for him to start his family, he’s contacted a good friend and yes she will have his baby for him, now it’s just a matter of wait and see.
While at his release party for his newest app Kent meets Dex Lochland, triathlete and successful app designer. Neither man can believe how well they hit it off, with nothing holding either man back they start a relationship full of fun, laughter, se and love. Everything is going so well that when Kent learns that his surrogate has fallen pregnant and he learns that Dex has never wanted children! Kent is devastated, he doesn’t know what to do or say to Dex to make it better because dammit, he’s excited beyond belief that he’s going to be a father.
Dex can’t believe he never knew about Kent’s desire for a family, he doesn’t want their relationship to end either. As typical men they decide to bury the issue, don’t talk about it and it’ll go away! It doesn’t and when Kent finds out that not only is he getting his longed for child, he’s getting three of them. As they are waiting for the baby’s to be born they spend a great deal of time with Kent’s family, his sister and his niece in particular and the most amazing thing happens. Dex becomes very fond of his niece and realises that the only reason he thinks children don’t like him is because he’s never been around them, he actually loves them.
The stress these two bring not only on themselves but to Kent’s family by not acknowledging the issues about children so they couldn’t even talk about them when Dex was in the vicinity was totally stupid. I’m so glad they got their act together to become a family, the moment Dex accepts the baby’s is the moment I had to get the tissues out!! Of Love is a definite to read book, it’s very uplifting with moments of utter stupidity from the men but it’s worth it in the end!
