REVIEW:
There is nothing better than a possessive, hurt, angry Logan Church. In the 2nd book of the Change of Heart series Logan and Jin are trying to navigate their new found relationship.
Logan’s away at the mating ceremony of his friends. Jin stayed behind to take care of the tribe. They currently have some panthers in their tribe who were sent to be trained by Logan. Overcome by their hormonal pull towards Jin, they attack him violently. Fearful that the repercussions of this could start a war, Jin hides away and tries to heal himself.
Upon his return Logan demands Jin return home regardless of his injuries. What ensues is a lot of push and pull. Jin starts divulging his fears to Logan about their bond and it puts a strain on their connection.
As events unfold Jin is kidnapped by an insane ex-lover and taken to Egypt. He’s tortured and escapes. He is then “rescued” by another semel who is overcome with hormones and wants to keep Jin as his.
Jin is overcome with emotions and hormones having been away from Logan for so long. He’s distraught and his emotions take over. He slowly starts transforming and shifting into more than just a werepanther. He starts shifting into a nekehne, which is a super rare type of shifter. This just reinforces how truly special Jin is.
Eventually Logan and Jin are reunited and their bond develops stronger then before.
Semel’s and mates from all over the world convene on Egypt for a sacred festival. Panthers who have never seen a true semel and reah bond are in awe of Logan and Jin. Their match is undeniable but there are still forces at play that have anything but good intentions.
This is such a great and important addition to the series. I’ve been in this story since book 1 and my interest hasn’t waivered….get this series!!!
