Sometimes to find love, you must first learn forgiveness.
A dozen years, two thousand miles, and a law degree after high school, Rafi Steiner continues to harbor resentment toward Isaac Jones, his childhood bully turned NBA star. When Isaac appears at Rafi’s favorite restaurant acting like a long-lost friend, Rafi bluntly dismisses him.
But Isaac is tenacious and he has his heart set on the grown-up version of the boy he always wanted and never forgot. The way Isaac sees it, he and Rafi are perfect for each other, if only he could sink the most important shot of his life: his one shot at forgiveness.
REVIEW:
Damn, I didn’t want this one to end!!! I wanted to read more and more. I really enjoyed Isaac and Rafi together. The passion was off the charts good!
Rafi Steiner is an up and coming lawyer. He’s living and loving life as a single, professional adult. He rarely thinks about his childhood or high school days. So, needless to say he is Godsmaked when he runs into his high school bully and tormentor, Isaac Jones.
Throughout high school, Isaac Jones struggled with his sexuality. He’s confused and angry so he lashes out at the one person who holds all his interest, Rafi. Years have passed and Isaac is more comfortable than ever with who he is. He’s a successful professional basketball player and is now ready to work on his personal life.
Having never forgotten Rafi, Isaac tracks him down. The heat between these two is explosive. I love the way Cardeno C spins a tale. Even a short story like this one was so beautifully told. I loved how Rafi was able to remember the moments that weren’t so awful between him and Isaac. I loved how possessive Isaac was with Rafi. I thought it was so beautiful how they both were able to build on the foundation they already had established since they essentially grew up together.
Like I said earlier this story was so good my complaint was that it was too short. I’d love a full length novel about these two. Or maybe even a book 2…so good!!!
