REVIEW:
Those of you who followed my last couple Flashback Friday reviews of the Galactic Conspiracies Series by Rob Colton will know how much I really, really like this author and his feel good, happy ending books! I’m happy to say that this brand new installment is as good, if not better than the first two!
In The Degan Paradox the focus shifts to Perin McSmith, the orphanage brother of Devin. Perin is finally back with his own story. When book two ended the Cassini was on its way back to Dega carrying an important find from their last mission. When it is discovered that the find, a Human/Degan embryo matches Perin’s DNA to 99.999% accuracy, he is informed of it and to say he is shocked would be a huge understatement. How can it be his DNA mixed with a nameless Degan’s DNA? He has never had sex with a Degan! He is pretty sure he’d remember if he had! Particularly because of the huge size of Degan dicks!
Peri is at first hesitant to tell Devin and the rest of the Drago family about the embryo which is now at the Degan Science Institute under the care of an Exobiologist. Beshel Drago, Bastian’s uncle, finds out he is the Sire of the child, but he also has no idea how it could have happened. Does it have anything to do with the strange dreams he has been having of Peri?
When the Degan Science Institute is attacked by rogue humans who steal the embryo, the battle lines are drawn. Will Dega go into all-out war against the Union? Will Peri, Beshel and some friends from the previous books be able to rescue the baby?
I really enjoyed this book. I love how Rob Colton has built a universe that is very believable with very believable characters and story lines. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series to anyone who is into a feel good science-fiction story. As I’ve mentioned previously, Rob Colton believes in a happy ending, so you’re always assured a fun read without a lot of angst and drama, but still with lots of action and some great big hairy man on man sex! I hope you enjoy this series as much as I do! Now I’m waiting for the story of Martan and Kenji. Is Kenji knocked up? Inquiring minds want to know. Sooner rather than later, PLEASE!
