TITLE: Fall For Me
SERIES: Rock Gods #1
AUTHOR: Ann Lister
PUBLISHER: SleighFarm Publishing Group
LENGTH: 408 pages
BLURB:
Entertainment journalist, Ryan Pierce, meets the infamous bad-boy rocker, Dagger Drummond, and walks away with a great interview and a scandalous news bit that has the potential to turn the music world on its ear. Exposing the story would boost Ryan’s career, but it would also come with the risk of ruining Dagger’s privacy – and possibly his Rock God status.
The unlikely friendship that develops between Dagger and Ryan brings Ryan to question more than just his journalistic oath to report the news. It also forces him to take a look at himself and newly discovered feelings – feelings that make Ryan blind to the risk of becoming front page news himself.
Will Ryan find the courage to make a life decision to give himself true happiness with Dagger or take the path that would likely lead to heartbreak and destroy his career forever?
REVIEW:
How did I miss this series? I seriously wonder after finishing this first book. What an unexpected treat.
The first book in the Rock Gods series brings us Rock Star Dagger Drummond, lead artist of Black Ice and Ryan Pierce, journalist. There is no denying the chemistry between the two men from the moment they meet. But they meet under stressful circumstances. When Ryan is supposed to interview Dragger things take an unexpected turn. It is up to Ryan to decide what he wants to do with the information he gathered.
Ryan has in his hands the one thing that Dagger doesn’t want to get out there in the big wide world. When Dagger realises that Ryan will not betray his trust and keeps his promise, the two slowly form a friendship.
The bi-sexual but straight acting,Dagger and the determinded straight Ryan bond over phone calls, taking things slowly and progressing in different ways. Dagger doesn’t make a secret of the fact that he is interested in more then friendship from Ryan, but Ryan really needs to deal with things and he also needs to find a way of accepting what is happening with him and with both of them together.
After a slow build up (too slow?) both men come together in more ways then one. But then fate deals them an unexpected hand. Can they make it, is their relationship strong enough especially with touring, insecurities and image…
Everything seems to fall apart under the pressure of misunderstandings, bad judgment, anger and disbelief when the world finds out about their private life. Can they keep it together and fight for what they thought they had become to each other and grown to love?
I totally fell for these guys, for the book, the characters, the glimpse we got of fellow rock band Ivory Tower (cannot wait for more there!)
I got introduced to this author because I had the incredable honor to organize her blog tour for her latest release “Meant For Me,” and it made me want to read this series and boy, am I ever glad I did. I fell head-over-heels for the men in these stories and the books Ann Lister wrote.
I highly recommend this first book and the rest of the series as well. I will be reviewing the complete series starting with part one today and part two next Saturday.
So join in, follow Dagger and Ryan in this book as well as the others in the next books as they take their journey’s towards each other and we watch their friendship and love interests develop. Join the rollarcoaster ride like I did and enjoy!!
