REVIEW:
I decided to bring the Galactic Conspiracies to Flashback Friday, just because the books are so much fun to read. Plus there is a new book in the series that just came out on June 3rd that I will be reviewing in a couple weeks, so I figured we all needed the background!
In The Degan Incident we are introduced to Devin McSmith, a young worker at Earth’s Spaceport Prime. Devin is lonely. He really only has one friend, Perin. Both young men grew up in the McSmith Orphanage and share McSmith as their last name. Neither have really ever known love. Neither were ever adopted because Earth has been in an interstellar war which resulted in a too many orphans.
Now they are adults and both work at the spaceport. Devin is working one day when a cargo ship arrives at his station carrying a huge alien. The alien man, Bastian Drago, is large, furry and even has horns. Devin is smitten immediately!
But following a month or so of getting to know each other, ending with them finally having full on anal sex, Bastian disappears without a trace! Now there are bad guys after Devin. A kidnapping, secret labs, space battles, and a male pregnancy all follow. Devin starts to wish he never wished for life to be more interesting!
I really enjoyed this quick read. Rob Colton does an excellent job with character development and story line, while at the same time throwing in enough sex to keep everyone happy. There is enough action to keep you from being able to put the book down midway through, so make sure you have enough time to finish it once you start.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is into a feel good science-fiction story. I’m off to start reading The Cassini Mission, book two in the series! I hope you enjoy this series as much as I do!
