REVIEW:
I don’t know if I’ll be able to come to terms with this being the end of Season 1. I think I’m still in the denial stage or maybe I’m in shock and not accepting reality. Needless to say, Season 2 can’t come fast enough, if there even is a Season 2. Please, oh please, oh please let there be a Season 2. This Season Finale was explosive, both emotionally and physically. So many bombshell secrets uncovered, we found out about Rachel, we find out how closely Sid is weaved into the Phillip Marns empire, we find out how vulnerable Jack and Sid are, we find out both their weaknesses, and we had to say goodbye at the end. This is the way a Season should end. It gave you enough passion, emotion, and desire to hope but left it open so that anything could happen.
This installment picks up right where Episode 5 left off. Sid and Jack wake up with hoods on their heads but slowly realize things aren’t as they seem. Jack is offered everything he’s ever wanted but he knows there are hidden agendas at play. Sid, too, is offered something too good to turn down. He accepts due to the circumstances involved but he also knows there are strings attached.
These two men are so good at denying feeling anything for each other. They’ve both mastered the art of being aloof and you just want them to admit it while ripping each other’s clothes off. There is GREAT satisfaction in this episode, I have to admit.
I’m in love with everything that is going on between Sweeney and Drake. We need more of those two!!!
Episode 6 is very violent, and horrifically gory. It kind of put characters capabilities at the forefront, you really got to see what someone is willing to do for someone they loved and lost.
This Season ended with no HEA, there wasn’t even a HFN, but there was a plethora of hope. The ending was so touching, so emotional, so raw…it was perfect…so perfect!!!
Absolutely adored Season 1….!!

I love this review, Amber. I did define it as a hfn, but you’re more accurate calling it hopeful. You’re also right that season 2 can’t come soon enough.
🙂
I absolutely loved everything about it Lisa…I’m glad we agree on how good it really is ; )
