TITLE: Never Too Early: Finding Their Way
SERIES: Never Too Early Book 2
AUTHORS: Chris Owen & Tory Temple
PUBLISHER: Torquere Books
LENGTH: 54,000 Words
BLURB:
Continuing from the first book in the series (Never Too Early: The Beginning), Chance and Tucker and Jake and Tor find themselves involved in a friendship that goes much deeper than any of them initially suspected.
Jake has been released from the hospital following his fall from the roof, and Chance and Tucker agree to stay in Arkansas for several days to help Tor with Jake’s care. Chance, however, spends much of his time trying to resist the growing attraction he has for Jake. The confusion between the love he has for Tucker and the new feelings for Jake play tricks with Chance’s mind. Is any of this a good idea, or are all of them headed for disaster?
For his part, Jake has to reconcile not only his growing feelings and physical attraction to Chance, but also the promises he and Tor made to each other. They rebuilt their own relationship in the wake of mistakes neither one of them wishes to repeat. How much communication and longing can one — or two — relationships take?
REVIEW:
When I first heard of the first book, I knew two of the main characters and I went to get the books of the other two. I wanted to see the different styles of writing as well as getting to know the characters. I’m really I did. It made it so much better and easier to understand these characters and where their thoughts are.
Jake and Chance are having this sweet, tender love affair and it’s so damn sweet to watch. I like seeing just how much they mean to each other. The tender, loving way that they are is just so damn heartwarming. These two are some strong, alpha characters and to see them fall in love with each other and the way in which they do it…beautiful!!
Tor and Tucker…the twins as they are nicknamed are like two teenagers and that is also something to see. I love how these two guys interact with each other. The way that they’ve bonded is just as sweet as Jake and Chance. I love seeing the antics that these guys get up too.
There is some sex happening in this book and I have to say that it’s pretty damn steamy, just the way I like my stories. However, I will say that it’s not all sex between these guys. It’s really the kisses and cuddles that did it for me. These guys spent the majority of their time together just kissing and cuddling. When the sex did happen…it was HOT and yet at the same time, it was so sweet.
I know that some people still have issues with these characters getting together, however, that doesn’t bother me. I believe that people have the capacity for un boundless love and that these guys not only found it with one person…they are lucky enough to have found it in more than one person.
My only issue with this story is that we don’t get Tor and Tucker’s POV and I hope that that changes in the next book. I’m also hoping that that book is really long as I want everyone’s POV and I really don’t want it to end.
I liked that this book not only had me smiling and laughing, but it was also tender and heartbreaking. That these two couples live so damn far away from each other and truly….how are they going to make it work? Can they make it work? I guess we’ll find out in the third book: Never Too Early-Full Circle.
