TITLE: Acting Out
SERIES: Hollywood Hotties #2
AUTHOR: Mia Watts
PUBLISHER: Totally Bound Publishing
LENGTH: 82 pages
BLURB:
Who wouldn’t want Hollywood hottie Cree Radek? When Evan Walker, Cree’s assistant, gives in to temptation, he’s sure Cree only wants a one-nighter. Evan has plans of his own, and falling in love isn’t one of them.
Cree Radek is one of Hollywood’s hottest stars. He’s an unapproachable alpha wrapped in black leather and spikes with ice-blue eyes lined in black. He’s hard to read and all kinds of sex-on-a-stick.
Evan Walker works for Cree as his assistant. Long hours and living arrangements make it impossible to keep things professional. So, when things get steamy, Evan sees himself as an easy target. But for Cree, Evan is a lot more than a one-night stand.
Family business takes Evan away in the middle of filming. Cree says he wants him back, but can a celebrity be faithful to a regular guy?
REVIEW:
Evan Walker came to Hollywood to find his dead beat father that left his mom to struggle and raise a child alone, not to fall in love with his boss, the hot actor with a hard exterior, Cree Radek. Although getting a job with the hot actor, will help him out with his search and hopefully get him closer to helping his mom to the better life Evan feels she should have always had.
Cree Radek is a hot actor at the top in Hollywood but is known as a hard ass who doesn’t play well with others. He keeps to himself and only goes out when he needs to so that he doesn’t get played and taken advantage of, as many can do in his business. But when Evan walks into his life and becomes his assistant, all that changes. Cree has fallen for Evan but can he trust him? The same can be said from Evan’s point of view. Can Evan trust Cree with his heart and not be used and left behind like his father did to his mother?
When I found out book two in the Hollywood Hotties was out I got a little excited as I liked book one, “Wrong Number, Right Guy” a lot giving it 4 stars. Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy the story but it just felt like I had read it before and already knew what was going to happen. Now with that said, you do feel the emotions and feelings between Cree and Evan, and you understand where Evan is coming from and why he’s afraid to really trust Cree with his heart. The change that happens so quickly with Cree, showing his true self to Evan is great and shows that his persona is just an act and that he really does have a heart of gold and cares for Evan, is felt in his actions more than in his words. Even though I knew how it was going to end, Mia kept you invested enough to want to keep reading and discover if the love Evan and Cree had for each other would play out as I thought or if there would be some kind of twist that I didn’t expect. If I told you what exactly happens, what would the fun in that be, you have to find out for yourself. I am looking forward to a third book in the series and am hoping that Brett Shackley, the one character that shows up in both books finally gets his happy ending.
