REVIEW:
“Home Again” is the second book in Cardeno C’s Home Series and is about Noah Forman and Clark Lehman. This book is told from Noah’s point of view now and Clark’s point of view in the past and it’s a credit to the author that you don’t get confused or lost swapping between now and then. The book starts when Noah wakes up in hospital after a car crash and thinks it’s three years ago.
Noah and Clark meet when they are teenagers and Clark is Noah’s brother Ben’s best friend. Clark is four years older than Noah and when they meet he doesn’t realise how young Noah is because of Noah’s self-awareness and confidence. Clark immediately becomes attached to Noah but he thinks it’s because Noah is extremely troubled and going off the rails. On the other hand Noah immediately falls in love with Clark the moment he sets eyes on him believing Clark is gay like him. It takes Clark years to realise he is in love with Noah but he won’t do anything because of the age difference. The day Noah turns eighteen is the day he turns up on Clark’s doorstep and their adult relationship starts.
Everything in their relationship is going smoothly in spite of the fact that Noah’s parents have disowned him because he’s gay until Ben decides he has to get Noah away from Clark so that he can become normal. Noah takes a dare from Ben not realising exactly what is going to happen and does something so cruel and unthinkable deliberately so that Clark will catch him. Clark is devastated and leaves town and doesn’t see Noah for three years when he wakes in the hospital calling for him. Before Noah leaves the hospital Clark tells him what he did three years ago and it all comes back to him and he realises he has a lot to make up for. When they get home they concentrate on putting their lives back together without the interference of Noah’s family.
This book is not your usual love story it’s even better, there’s a bit of everything in there. I especially love the way you get both peoples POV’s, you get the entire story of the relationship with the good, the bad and the ugly. And they come out the other end a happier much more emotionally balanced couple. I would recommend this book to all m/m romance lovers.
