If you agree the only thing sexier than a man in uniform is a man out of uniform, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve handpicked an assortment of sizzling hot, uniformed heroes to satisfy your uniform fetish.
ANTHOLOGY OVERVIEW:
Uniform Fetish: Manlove Edition is a delightful collection of stories, all with one thing in common…somewhere in each is a uniform of some description. From American Revolution Reenactment uniforms, to waiter uniforms, to pilot, fireman and police officer uniforms. All the stories revolved around one of my favorites sights….a hot man in a uniform. I highly recommend the anthology. It was an easy read and I went through them in one day. Please see below for a brief overview of each. I’ve tried hard to not give any spoilers! Enjoy.
OVERALL ANTHOLOGY RATING:
STORY #1: Promises
AUTHOR: Elizabeth Monvey
REVIEW:
Promises was a story of two men, Adam, a comic illustrator, and his partner of a year, Ryan, an EMT. On the day before their first anniversary, Ryan goes off to work, and Adam rushes out onto the rainy, heavily congested, 405 freeway to pick up Ryan’s favorite cake from a bakery on the other side of the city. As anyone can attest, the 405 isn’t a great place to be, even on a nice day!
Minutes later, while Adam is trying to head down an off ramp, another car pulls out without seeing him. Adam hears a crash, then feels a lot of pain, and then sees blackness….his last thoughts being of Ryan. What will happen when the first responders are Ryan and his work partner?

STORY #2: Fine Dining
AUTHOR: Nicola Cameron
REVIEW:
James Fairchild has been going to a restaurant for 4 years, primarily because he has a crush on the waiter. Gustav appears to be in his mid-40s, but James has no clue about his sexuality.
That all changes one day when an oaf of a stockbroker has been treating Gustav badly and James sticks up for him. The pompous ass decides to get even, and intentionally bumps Gustav causing him to dump a bowl of very hot bouillabaisse in James’ lap.
Gustav whisks James off to a private office and out of his pants to treat the burns. Then things heat up! But is there more to Gustav than meets the eye?
RATING: 4.5
STORY #3: The Layover
AUTHOR: Gale Stanley
REVIEW:
Captain Paul Miller is one of those uber sexy airline pilots we’ve all drooled over at some point in busy airports. I’ve always personally thought some of them must have their pants tailored just right to show up that bulging crotch and the tight butt….where was I…sorry, got sidetracked in my own mind…LOL.
Paul isn’t happy in his marriage. He met his wife and they got married because it was the right thing to do. The sex sucks though. Now he is on a layover in San Francisco, and the guy at the airport diner/coffee shop is being very nice!
It turns out that Jamey is actually the owner of the place, and over the next few layovers the two men become friends. What will happen when Paul’s wife walks out? When he gets to San Francisco and another man is running his fingers through Jamey’s hair, did he wait too long?

STORY #4: Scars
AUTHOR: James Cox
REVIEW:
My favorite so far! James certainly knows how to write a man on man sex scene with believability!
Devil was the head of an elite Marine squad, but something went dreadfully wrong, and he lost his leg. After being discharged, he retreated to a lonely mountain cabin and hoped that a bear would wander in the front door and eat him, thus finishing the job.
The story is told from his point of view, and the guy really seems to have some issues accepting his new reality. He hasn’t even used his prosthetic leg, instead depending on his wheelchair. One day he hears a vehicle in the driveway, and even though he yells and tells the mystery person to “Fuck Off”, he is ignored. In walks his second in command, Gabe McShane, the hot Irishman who Devil has been fantasizing about for years.
Turns out Gabe has decided the grass is greener on the other side, and is there for a little instruction! Can two broken ex-Marines help each other through each of their issues?

STORY #5: A Walk on the Wild Side
AUTHOR: Pelaam
REVIEW:
Devin is a systems analyst during the week, and a drag performer on weekends. One weekend on his way home from his gig still in partial drag, he is stopped for speeding by a big strapping cop named Justin. Justin just gives him a warning, but as he walks away from the car, he tells Devin he has nice legs.
The next weekend, after Devin’s performance, he is still running around in the bar in a dress and sandals. He turns around to find Justin there, looking good enough to eat. Things heat up between the two, but will Devin’s mother ever let him free of her claws? She is a homophobe, even though her son is gay. It is never to be discussed, and she rides Devin terribly with guilt and pressure about her being his mother, and him having to take care of her, drive her at will, etc.
Things come to a climax and a confrontation. Who will win?
The dom/sub portions of this story were good. I did wonder if the title came from the old song “Take a Walk on the Wild Side” which I’ve always found humorous with how much airtime it got in the United States back at the time. While I’m not into men in makeup and frocks myself, many are. If you’re into the frocks, take a walk on the wild side and give it a read! 😉

STORY #6: Real Life Role Play
AUTHOR: Tamsin Baker
REVIEW:
Lachlan and Tayte are fairly new to their relationship. When Lachlan moved in six months previously, it was a first for either of them. The whole dynamic of their relationship changed.
Suddenly sex is missing from their relationship. Tayte is working almost constantly, even on Lachlan’s days off. Neither knows what the problem is.
Maybe they need a little old fashioned roll playing….but is Tayte up to roll playing a Dom cop when that is actually what he does all day? Can they handle a little real life?
This one was mainly an erotic story, with little storyline, but was still a good read!
RATING: 4.0
STORY #7: Mile High Rebound
AUTHOR: L.D. Blakeley
REVIEW:
OK, admit it. Who amongst you hasn’t thought a time or two while locked in an aircraft hurtling through the sky that someone on the flight would look pretty darn good joining the mile high club with you? I know I have!
Will has just been dumped by the guy he thought he was really working on a relationship with. Turns out the guy had more in common with a teenage girl and wasn’t ready to be exclusive. So here is Will, alone on a trip from Toronto to Barbados for his sister’s wedding, with a super-hot flight attendant (dressed in an appalling bad uniform) constantly standing right in front of Will. It doesn’t help that Will is seated on the aisle in the front row of the aircraft…right at crotch level!
It also doesn’t help that Will has been fantasizing about the guy since he saw him from the bar before boarding the plan. Is there any way, on a crowded 767 to join the mile high club without the whole plane knowing about it? With enough Dewar’s under your belt, anything is possible…
Cute little story!

STORY #8: The British are Coming
AUTHOR: Lilith Duvalier
REVIEW:
I really liked this one. Revolutionary War reenactment never sounded like much fun to me. About on the same level as a Star Trek Convention, with the same guys…just different costumes! So maybe I was wrong, it sounded like it might be fun.
Elijah has been going to the Battle of Monmouth reenactment since he was an infant, because it is important to his Dad. This is the first year Elijah has gone on his own because his Dad isn’t there to attend. Dad has some sort of terminal illness, but we never get the details on what, just that it is bad.
At school Elijah has been crushing on a guy in one of his history classes named Jasper. It is about to be more than a crush. Unbeknownst to Elijah, Elijah’s best friend Colin has invited Jasper to the reenactment. Sparks fly between the Patriot and the British Soldier…and the rest is history!
One of the better stories in the anthology in my opinion.
RATING: 4.5
STORY #9: Fired Up
AUTHOR: Lucy Felthouse
REVIEW:
What a great story to wrap up the anthology! Lucas is a fireman who was formerly in the Army. When doing a routine smoke detector installation one day, he runs across his old Army mate Greg. It comes as a total shock because Greg is in a wheelchair, having suffered a broken back while skiing.
All of the feelings that Lucas had for Greg when they were stationed together come crashing to the fore. Turns out there was some major denial going on Greg’s side, and maybe, just maybe, there were a hell of a lot more repressed feelings than either man knows.
Another of the better stories in the anthology!
