AUTHOR: Lisa Oliver

LENGTH: 118 pages
BLURB:
Ace is on a mission. On the run from his old pack, the enforcer is determined that cat shifter Teric must die. In his head it’s the only way he can regain his place in the Washington pack and the Bound and Bonded club. In an effort to meet his needs for Domination in the human world, Ace visits Whips, a predominantly human BDSM club and gets the shock of his life.
Devin is a five hundred year old vampire who has been searching for his one and only for the longest time. Working as a house sub at Whips was fine until one Master over steps his boundaries and Devin is left with time on his hands. Deciding on a whim to track down the delicious wolf shifter he had smelled at the club, Devin soon tracks down Ace…and then promptly wishes he hadn’t. Ace is a wolfist and refuses to accept Devin as his mate.
Misunderstandings are just one hurdle these two need to overcome, if they are ever to have their HEA. The enforcers from the Washington Pack are still looking for Ace, and when they find him it might prove the end for both Devin and Ace.
REVIEW:
Fighting Fangs is the fourth book in the Bound and Bonded series of BDSM werewolf books. This one introduces a vampire to the mix, and gives us a good redemption story.
Ace was an asshole in the last book, and wanted to kill Teric, Kyles mate, because he was a cat shifter and not a wolf shifter. Ace was taught by his asshole father that wolf shifters are the top of the food chain and should not associate with any other shifters. They certainly shouldn’t BOND with other shifters! No way would fate set up a wolf shifter to mate with any thing else. So he doesn’t believe that Kyle and Teric could possibly be fated mates. He freaks out, gets locked up, gets out and runs.
This story picks up as he is trying to find a way to kill Teric, because he still can’t let go of his stupid notions about the pureness of wolves. Until he meets his own mate, a 500 year old vampire named Devin, in a BDSM club. Devin is a submissive for reasons I won’t go in to here, but you should read about! The two meet, part, then try to work their shit out….
I liked this book quite a bit. It wasn’t as exciting as the other two, but I love a good redemption story, and that made up for the lack of action. I also really liked Devin and Ace together. Not to mention the message that teaching your kids hate can really fuck them up as adults. The writing was good, although there were a couple of typos, I still felt like the whole series needed some better editing. Again, it didn’t detract from the story, but I did notice things. I didn’t like Ace at first, as was expected when he was being a bigoted asshole, then I liked him as things progressed. I loved that he called Devin “little fang”. Sorry, but that is pretty cute! Even if Devin is a 500 year old bad-ass vampire.
Overall an enjoyable book! I suppose you could read it as a stand alone as the blurb says, but I really think you’d miss something in not understanding Ace and the drama he caused in the last book. I’d recommend reading all of the books. I read them all in a weekend and it was time well spent. Give them a try!
