ANTHOLOGY: Night Shift: Dirty Things Happen in the Dark
AUTHOR: Kindle Alexander
PUBLISHER: Silver Sky Publishing Inc.
LENGTH: 60 pages
BLURB:
Dr. Derek Babineaux is intelligent, dedicated, and one of the best ER physicians in the fast-paced world of critical care at TMC. Always on top of his game, he’s thrown off balance when the newest staff member unleashes his hidden desires.
Justin Delacroix’s job at the inner city’s busiest hospital might be just what he needs to ease back into civilian life. There’s only one problem, his attraction for one sexy ER doctor is off the charts, but he has reasons for not returning Dr. Baby’s advances. Or maybe he doesn’t.
REVIEW:
I absolutely love these kinds of stories. Even though it was short the clever twist towards the beginning was such a nice addition. That one little thing totally made this story more than just average.
Dr. Derek Babineaux loves his life as an ER doctor in one of the busiest hospitals in New Orleans. He’s well respected and incredibly good at his job. He’s also insanely attracted to the new nurse that just got hired on.
Justin Delacroix is use to the fast paced conditions at Tulane hospital. Even though he’s the “new guy” the environment is like 2nd nature to him. Having had been a medic in the military for years, several deployments being a nurse in the ER seems like child splay. Keeping his head down and doing his job is all he wants to do. He’s definitely noticed the hot doctor but has a strict policy of not mixing business and pleasure.
Like I mentioned earlier the twist in this story is decadent. The attraction and bond between these two men is magical and it plays out absolutely perfectly.
I know there will be a continuation in this series involving different characters but I would unquestionably be interested in a full novel involving Justin and Derek. Basically from the beginning, I would love it. I digress and will stop my crazy plea.
Overall this novella was something special. Definitely recommend.
