TITLE: Touch of a Ghost
AUTHOR: L.M. Brown
PUBLISHER: Breathless Press
LENGTH: 74 pages
BLURB:
What if you could only touch your lover one night of the year? Halloween night is all you have when in a relationship with a ghost. Drew Jessop wants a life without ghosts. He doesn’t want to see, hear, or talk to them. Ignoring them should be relatively simple. But Drew soon finds that Benji Richards, an eternally gorgeous ghost from the fifties, is not so easy to ignore. Halloween night is approaching and both Drew and Benji know what it could mean for them. From sunset to sunrise, it is the one night of the year when a mortal can feel the touch of a ghost.
REVIEW:
Drew Jessop moved out of his family’s home hoping to leave his curse/gift of seeing ghosts behind, but no matter how hard he tries to keep them at bay, he didn’t plan on Benji. Benji is a ghost that lives in Drew’s new apartment building and is attracted to Drew. Drew gives a valiant effort at trying to ignore Benji, and all his efforts at getting Drew to admit that he can see him, but with the attraction Drew has towards Benji he can’t ignore him for long.
Finally, Drew gives in to his attraction and stops denying his curse/gift and he acknowledges Benji. Now they are able to explore the sexual tension between each other, at least as much as a mortal and ghost can, and at least until Halloween. On the dusk of All Hallow’s Eve ghosts are able to come back to the mortal world as not ghostly specters but as a blood pumping, heart beating, body heat giving being, giving Drew and Benji the chance to actually be together and feel the others body. By doing this will they come out of the experience closer or will the desire they feel for each other be lost when Benji has to return to his ghost form when dawn comes?
This is the second time I’ve actually read Touch of a Ghost by L.M. Brown and I enjoyed it the second time around just as much as I did the first time. L.M. has written a nice story about following your heart and proving that love can transcend even the mortal and ghost realm. So go and check it out and feel the love between Drew and Benji.
