Series: Strangers #1
When Army veteran, Slade, stumbles upon an isolated cottage on a cold, dark, night, the young man finds more than just the shelter he’s seeking.
Former club Dominant Callum is surprised to find a handsome stranger knocking at his door but invites him in despite his reservations. A nightmare reveals Slade’s deep-seated emotional issues, and Callum knows he needs to get creative if he’s going to help Slade leave the past behind.
Neither man is prepared for the feelings Slade’s introduction into the world of BDSM will unleash, and thirty-six hours will either be enough to bind them, or they will remain forever strangers in the night.

If a crystal ball could tell you the truth about yourself, your life, the future or anything else, what would you want to know?
Helena: Nothing. In fact I would probably break the crystal ball to ensure I wouldn’t be tempted to look. For me part of the charm of life is how it takes you by surprise. Knowing what lies ahead – either good or bad – would take that sense of adventure out of living. Whatever lies ahead for me, I’ll face it when we meet.
Jaycee: The only thing in the future I want to see is the lottery numbers. If the crystal ball could show me the past, though, I’d probably spend the rest of my life getting answers to all those burning questions: How were the pyramids really built? What really happened to Hitler? Where is Jimmy Hoffa? Who killed Jonbenet Ramsey? I’d want to see my ancestors. Gah! The list is endless!
Helena: Great answer. Looking at the past never occurred to me, and yes, that list IS endless.
Is there something that you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time?
Helena: A trip across the Atlantic to America. It has been a dream for a very long time and the dream has become more urgent recently because of all the people I’ve befriended online. I’ll be forever grateful technology allowed me to meet my co-writer and other wonderful people, but it has also made me more determined than ever to find a way to make that trip.
Jaycee: Other than having a book published you mean? I’ve dreamed of travelling, but the reality of it is, I’m such a homebody that when push comes to shove, I find an endless list of excuses not to leave home. My hubby is very similar in that respect, which is either a really good – or a really bad – thing. I’d love to see The Eiger one day though, from Bellevue des Alpes at Kleine Scheidegg.
Helena: Sorry, I had to jump in here for a moment because I’ve actually seen the Eiger from that exact position (and a few others).
Jaycee: Are you kidding me? You have? I’m pouting. I’m literally sitting here with my lip stuck out. I’m so jealous. That’s been my dream since I was like twelve. (Goes into corner to feel sorry for myself then reminds myself that this is probably how you felt when I got to meet Tiffany Reisz and you didn’t. Comes back out…) Hopefully some day I’ll get to see it too and you will get to meet Tiffany.
Helena: I’ll drink to that.
Jaycee: Seriously, though? That exact spot??
Helena: Kleine Sheidegg? Yes. Next time I visit my father I’ll dig out the pictures to prove it.
Jaycee: That hotel though? It has to be the Bellevue des Alpes. And yes! Pictures! Did you take the train though the mountain?
Helena: LOL, I was in my early teens at the time, I’m glad I just remember the names. Seriously though I never stayed in that hotel but I don’t rule out we were in it or drove past it when we were there. We did do that train through the mountain trip.
Jaycee: Gah. So jealous.
Helena: If it makes you feel any better, I’ve never been to any of the Disney worlds/lands…ever.
Jaycee: No. That doesn’t make me feel better at all! Everyone should get to go to Disney at least once. It’s such a happy place and you totally forget the real world exists.
Helena: I’ll add it to the list but, truth be told, I’d rather see and hug you than Mickey.
Jaycee: Awww. That’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever said to me! 🙂 In a perfect world, we could meet up and then go to Disney and then jet on over to Kleine Scheidegg… Maybe stop a few other places along the way and meet up with all our virtual friends and bring them along.
Helena: Okay, this is your cue to get your crystal ball and tell me the winning lottery numbers. I love this plan.
Jaycee: Unfortunately, I don’t have a crystal ball. Maybe we should arrange to meet at Disney and go from there. It’s the place where dreams and wishes come true. We could put it to the test.
Helena Stone can’t remember a life before words and reading. After growing up in a household where no holiday or festivity was complete without at least one new book, it’s hardly surprising she now owns more books than shelf space while her Kindle is about to explode.
The urge to write came as a surprise. The realisation that people might enjoy her words was a shock to say the least. Now that the writing bug has well and truly taken hold, Helena can no longer imagine not sharing the characters in her head and heart with the rest of the world.
Having left the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam for the peace and quiet of the Irish Country side she divides her time between reading, writing, long and often wet walks with the dog, her part-time job in a library, a grown-up daughter and her ever loving and patient husband.
Helena Stone can be found in the following places: Twitter, Facebook, Website, Pinterest, Goodreads, or by email.
Jaycee Edward is no longer seventeen years old but don’t tell her that. She’s actually a tad older and lives in northeast Ohio with her handsome husband and one, big gorgeous dog. She has two grown stepdaughters and is proud to be the ultra-cool Nana to two amazingly incredible grand-teens. Jaycee loves pistol shooting and is has earned her Bar 7 Sharpshooter status in the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program and hopes to someday reach the level of Expert Marksman. She is the token liberal and constant source of fascination to the other members at her gun range. Jaycee knows way too much about the inner workings of Walt Disney World and anything related to One Direction. She’d love to pull you into the rabbit hole with her. All you have to do is ask. Find her there or contact her through social media.
You can find Jaycee Edward in the following locations: her website, Facebook, Facebook Fan Page, Twitter, Google+, Goodreads, TSU, Ello, or Tumblr.
