It’s a chance to meet the guy on the set who he accidently called, but he has to admit the lead actor is hot stuff. Could the loping mega-star be his phone-a-friend? REVIEW:
Ryan Pierce is a famous action movie star loved and wanted by many but has nobody to come home to at night. While away filming on location he gets a phone call that shakes up his world, and it just happens to be a wrong number. The person on the other end of the phone is Dar Phillips. Dar thought he was calling his friend and before either one of them realized it was a wrong number sparks had flown and an attraction to each other bloomed.
After a long day of filming Ryan couldn’t stop thinking of the stranger on the other end of the phone and decided to call him and hope that Dar was up for some more conversation, and of course Dar being just as intrigued with Ryan was happy to oblige. Ryan told as much about himself as he could without actually giving away who he was. The reason for this was because Dar treated him like a real person and not like a Hollywood movie star. When they decide to meet in person, will things change, will Dar treat Ryan differently or will he still treat him as just a normal person?
Who hasn’t dialed a wrong number or gotten a call that’s a wrong number and was attracted to the voice on the other end of the line? This is exactly what happens between the characters Ryan and Dar, except instead of hanging up they spark up a conversation and not only does a conversation spark but so does an attraction to each other. I’ve always thought of doing just that when getting a wrong number but never have had the courage.
The story flows well and the happiness that Ryan and Dar bring into each other’s lives jumps off the page, and of course when dealing with a famous closeted movie star and the nosy paparazzi, so does the drama. The hurt that they both feel, you feel, and of course the stubbornness from both of them you want to just hit them and say snap out of it. I enjoyed how when Ryan did finally come to his senses, how he tried to make it up to Dar and win him back. Without giving too much away, it brought a tear to my eyes. I would recommend checking out and reading Wrong Number, Right Guy by Mia Watts. It’s a cute love story that has an accidental beginning.
