TITLE: Gridiron Cage
SERIES: The Master & Servant Series Book 2
AUTHOR: Crawford Rhine
PUBLISHER: eXtasy Books
LENGTH: 228 Pages
BLURB:
A marked man enters The Service wanting adventure and to find love and is assigned to a famous football player infamous for his partying.
Brand is right-out-of-school young when he enters The Service, maybe too young. He is assigned to Mike Dobrogost, a cocky NFL football player with the New England Patriots. Gost, as everyone calls his new Master, is famous for his partying and sexual exploitation. Not exactly the Master that Brand had hoped for—one that would worship him and one with whom he might fall in love. Further complicating matters is that Gost is already used to having a Servant, because Brand is not the only Servant in his employ.
Romance from a guy’s POV.
REVIEW:
Well, this book was different from what I’ve normally read and it took me a moment to get into the head space that the author was presenting. After that, well…all was good.
Brand is this young man who really is excited to get started on his Service. When we meet Brand, he’s in a crate on his way to his new Master’s house. Brand is so young (18 in fact) in his thoughts and his actions. I’m not sure why he’s so into being in the Service, but he seems to have a high sex drive and he seems to be very into what he does. Yet, Brand truly wants to be loved.
Mark is another Servant in the Service for Mike Dobrogost (Gost). Mark has been with Gost for some time and he has been working so damn hard and is in need of help. Gost kindly decided to add another Servant to help Mark out. Mark is the kindly, older Servant who takes Brand under his wing. It’s nice to see that Mark isn’t jealous of Brand. This is just a job for him and he’s not looking for anything but to proceed and maybe get a bit of help.
Mike (Gost) Dobrogost is the Master in this book. Gost isn’t a bad guy. Gost is just young and ha poor impulse control. Mike doesn’t normally do jealousy but for some reason….Brand brings it out in him. It was interesting to see this guy who really is about having fun and enjoying the ride and to see him fall for Brand. It was actually kinda sweet.
NOMARs are men who aren’t sexually attracted to other men and yet, they seem to really enjoy having lots and lots of sex with them. I really mean A LOT!!! This book had lots and lots of sex in it. I do mean A LOT.
I have to save to say that this story is really different read for me. The blurb states that this is romance from a male POV and I think that my be different for me, I’m a girl and I wanted more of relationship. I wanted to watch something build. There was a relationship building, however, it was different from what I came in expecting, however, this doesn’t make the book bad, just really different.
