REVIEW:
Please, whatever you do, do NOT let the title of this book deter you from picking it up and reading it. For a long time, I did just that. I just figured it was a ridiculous bit of fluff so I always passed it by. I don’t know what caused me to buy it and read it but I’m so incredibly thankful that I did. This author’s writing is powerful in its subtleties. I can’t eloquently describe how much I absolutely loved this story. Every aspect of it I truly loved.
Andrew Reynolds is a wannabe actor who puts his life on hold to move to New York to take care of his sister who is dying of cancer. Not being able to find a job with steady pay he decides to try his luck as a male escort to other men. The problem, however, is that Andrew isn’t gay. Not only that he has a strong aversion to gay men, in general due to his father leaving his mother for another man. But, Andrew’s love for his sister and his need to make money so he can stay in New York to take care of her outweighs everything else.
One of his clients is a very closeted California Senator, Cormac Donovan. Cormac regularly gets escorts whenever he goes to New York. He’s incredibly lonely and can’t risk being out in his current career. Andrew and Cormac hit it off, even after Andrew gets incredibly drunk trying to squelch his nerves.
The attraction was definitely one sided when they first met due to Andrew’s baggage about gay men. But every subsequent date it was very apparent they both wanted each other badly. It was awesome watching Cormac and Andrew come into their sexuality together. Every touch was so hot and so incredibly sweet. The way Andrew was with Cormac screamed care and affection. I loved everything about this couple.
I loved how Andrew was open with this new side of himself after he discovered it was there. I also enjoyed the side characters, very much. Paresh was a great addition. You loved, hated, pitied, and then respected him all in the span of a few chapters.
This book wouldn’t have been as great as it was if not for the beautiful relationship Andrew had with Marie. Every interaction, conversation, and moment was precious gifts that made this book so much more than it already was.
This is a MUST READ to everyone who enjoys M/M romance. It’s an unbelievably well written amazing story with awesome writing, a great plot and wonderful characters. Absolutely LOVED it!!!

I tried reading this, but I must admit that it just wasn’t for me. There were a lot of really great things about it, but I never really clicked with the characters. Though i don’t generally like rent-boy stories, so it might just be that.
Your review is great! I love this book but agree about the title.
