Well that was one hell of a bizarre kinky book…. I’m not sure if I liked it or not to be honest! It was a little strange! So this is a fairy tale/Fantasy story, with lots of really kinky sex. Really kinky.
Eryn is the son of a merchant, destined to marry, make babies, and be a merchant. He would prefer to get fucked in a back alley. To the point of pain in his ass, and vomiting semen. That just kinda grossed me out actually… He has a girlfriend, but doesn’t really want to marry her. He begins to have dreams about a beautiful man, a prince, that tells him he needs his help to claim his throne, and Eryn wants to head out to help him. Wyn, the prince, tells Eryn that he can’t find his kingdom in the clouds, that he has to go in to hiding, and to forget about him. But Eryn decides to find him anyway, and heads out, having no idea where to even go. This gets him in a lot of trouble. He ends up as a slave to a pasha, where he is taught to embrace his inner slut. Of course it is a fairy tale and a romance, so he does get his happy ending.
I really don’t know how to rate this book. The plot didn’t always make sense to me, I didn’t understand why the pasha tortured Eryn as much as he did, I just couldn’t follow it. It’s mostly about kinky sex with a BIG dose of humiliation. If that is your thing, you’ll probably like this book just fine. Apparently it’s not my thing, so I didn’t appreciate it as much as I could. I’m all about the kinky sex, but maybe not this kind. So yah, I found the plot odd, and the sex a bit nasty for my taste. I like fantasy books, I like fairy tale books, I like kinky sex, I like Heidi Cullinan’s books, I should have liked this one, but I can’t decide if I did or not! So I’m going to give it 3 stars, which is an average rating. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it, it’s not Heidi’s fault, there isn’t anything wrong with this book, I think it just wasn’t my thing.
