LENGTH: 50 pages
BLURB:
Adrian Mitchell has to decide whether love and forgiveness–and being less of a control freak–are enough to win back the heart of the man who cheated on him, because he can’t live without Brandon. Adrian Mitchell is miserable. His boyfriend, Brandon Perez, cheated on him, so he kicked him out of the house. But when a friend points out that Brandon’s cheating is a symptom of a deeper issue–Adrian being a control freak–he has to face some harsh truths about himself. To get Brandon back, Adrian will have to open up about his past, and why he’s always been afraid to give away control to anyone. He’ll have to convince Brandon that he’s willing to change, because he can’t live without him anymore. Cheating be damned, he needs Brandon to come home.
REVIEW:
Adrian is the owner of the trucking company ConcreteXpress and while being a condescending, self-righteous son of a bitch might work for him in his business life, his boyfriend Brandon is letting him know that it doesn’t work in his personal life. Adrian is used to doing things his way, as that was the way he was brought up. He has a big heart, now he just needs to follow it. Brandon has finally had enough and is ready to stop being a welcome mat that Adrian just walks all over. Is the love Adrian has for Brandon enough to make him change and win the heart of the love of his life?
JD Walker seems to be great at writing short stories that leave you wanting more and that is a good thing. With this one she starts right in with the heart break Adrian is feeling from Brandon, when he tells Adrian a pretty hurtful truth. While pulling you in with the fallout, JD Walker keeps you with the hope that it can all be put back together. As more characters are introduced in the story, both at the trailer park Adrian inherited from his grandfather; and with one of his workers, Derrick and his brother Joey struggling with PTSD; I can only hope there will be more stories to come. Truck Me All Day Long can be read as a standalone but if you want to learn a little more about Adrian, read Truck Me All Night Long first, you won’t regret it.
