BLURB:
Can a forty-two year old truck driver who chases twinks, and a young-looking forklift operator searching for a mature relationship find common ground? Trev Harding is a forty-two year old truck driver who loves having sex with a different twenty-something year old every night. The only exception to this is one-time trick Grant Hess, a mid-thirties forklift operator who could pass for twenty-three. Trev’s life takes a startling turn when he’s told by a twenty-one year old that people see him as a dirty old man. Trev is forced to do some soul-searching and asks Grant for advice. Their friendship blossoms, and Trev decides it’s time to try something new. And he knows just the man to do it with—Grant.
REVIEW:
Trev is a truck driver who isn’t interested in more than a quickie, and then only with anyone younger than he is, preferably in their 20’s. One night, while treating his boss Adrian, who is always giving Trev a hard time, to dinner and a beer, Adrian decides to let Trev know what he, and as it turns out everyone else, thinks about his one night stands and the conversation gets Trev thinking. Then when Trev hooks up with a guy in the bathroom, that guy also decides to let Trev in on a little secret, that all the guys think he’s a joke and a little pathetic. Feeling down he calls a friend Grant to get what’s going on off his chest. But what happens when he figures out he just might have more than one night stand feelings for Grant?
This is a cute short story that shows old dogs can change. I liked that it flowed well and that even though it is a short story, JD Walker was still able to give you a sense of the characters. I would like to know more of what happens with Trev and Grant because it leaves you hoping that Trev is able to change his ways and that hopefully Grant will give Trev a chance. I really enjoyed this story and recommend you give it a read!
