SERIES: The Love of Wicked Men
AUTHOR: Brandon Shire
PUBLISHER: TPG Books
LENGTH: 75 pages
BLURB:
Sid Rivers begins his attack on Phillips Marn Law. He has set his associates in motion and pits his wits against one of the greatest legal minds in the South. Jack Brown is still a mystery man, but as his cover begins to unravel, new players come into the game, and they’re about to change everything.
Sid Rivers and Jack Brown are two sides of the same coin. One is a lawyer with his own firm and dreams of money and power; the other is a criminal with a lengthy record and a quest for vengeance. When they meet, sparks fly. But was their meeting an accident? Or, was it planned by the billionaires who want to control their destiny? The Love of Wicked Men is an erotic journey into the underbelly of the legal profession, the corporate culture of profit-at-any-cost, and the secret world of industrial espionage.
REVIEW:
YES! YES! YES! I’m so enjoying where this is going.
In this episode Sid and his team are digging deeper into their super secret Phillip Marns case. Several attorneys are really getting into the investigations they were assigned proving to Sid their worth. While others are really flailing through the whole thing, so much so that Sid has to offer an ultimatum to one attorney. Unbelievably the attorney in question ends up betraying Sid and Rivers and Dunn by going directly to Phillip Marns and letting him know what Rivers and Dunn are doing. Phillip Marns thanks him by throwing him out of the building. Unfortunately now he’s tipped off and has Rivers and Dunn in his sights.
Episode 2 ended with Sid finding out that Jack wasn’t who he said he was. Sid ends up learning more and more that Jack is setting him up and scamming him. He’s dead set on finding out why.
Also in this episode there is no interaction between Jack and Sid which just makes me want them to get together all the more. The anticipation this author creates is pure magic. Throughout this book Sid purposefully avoids Jack. Jack realizes it and it does nothing but push him more. He also finds out that Sid is onto him and his side of the scheme so the majority of this book is him retracing his steps and tying any loose ends.
Also, like the past episode this one includes a smokin’ out sex scene. This time it’s between Jack and a mechanic he picks up. The mechanic is a natural submissive so he brings out toys for Jack to play with. These two together are something else. I will go back and re-read that scene a million times. It was so good.
This series is so chalk full of intrigue, mystery, and sexiness. I absolutely cannot wait for Episode 4 and I’m so ready for Sid and Jack to get together. This is a must read series!!!
