Welcome Rob
Welcome to the world of Men of the Manor! As a fan of both Downton Abbey and Upstairs, Downstairs, I thought, hey, wouldn’t it be uniquely different to see what happens to the lords when the lights go down and the ladies head to their beds for the night, to discover the sordid lives of the haves and the have-nots, and what can happen when the two classes find themselves beneath the sheets? Then I purposely chose stories from both viewpoints: from the perspective of the lords and the perspective of the staff. In truth, I enjoyed it the most when the staff took advantage of their employers, and gained something other than sex as a result, but the stories of the lords are just as intriguing, frequently showing a side of them you don’t often get to see.
It was also fascinating to see what the contributors’ takes were on this topic. Some saw the humor in these bygone relationships, while others saw the drama. Many played on the romances that surely must’ve existed between the two classes, and the struggles that ensued as a result. And while it can safely be assumed that the lords had the upper hand, in many of the stories, it was the staff that actually did.
In the end, erotica fans will enjoy the sex, romance fans will enjoy the tender moments, and historical fiction fans will get a kick out of the pre-World War One setting. In other words, I think I put together exactly what I was hoping for: something that appeals to a wide audience, and yet something that hasn’t been tried yet. I hope the readers feel the same and enjoy this collection as much as I do.
blurb:
English country houses, mystery and intrigue, sex and money—all go hand in hand in Men of the Manor, a collection of dizzyingly sexy encounters featuring randy aristocrats, eager stable boys and devoted footmen.
Does the aristocrat drop his grand manners when his manservant helps him undress? What happens behind the gilded door to a decadent party full of squiffy men on the make? And do the upstairs and downstairs chaps exchange more than pleasantries when the lamps are dimmed, the candles snuffed out and the ladies retire for the evening?

I would really love to read this book!! 🙂
This is one I’ve definitely been looking forward to. I’ve just finished a Cleis Press anthology and would love to read another, especially an historical one.
As a history lover I have enjoyed reading many historical novels, not just MM ones, and I am always intrigued by what they really got up to when they (the men and women) went into their respective rooms i.e. did the gamekeeper visit and whom did he visit?
Thank you for a chance to win a copy of this book
Congrats Jbst!
