This is a Series Review of the second, third and fourth books of the Opposites Series
ITLE: Opposites Series (Books 1.5, 2 & 2.5)
AUTHOR: T.M Smith
PUBLISHER: TTC Books
SERIES REVIEW:
The three books covered in this review were an interesting read, with lots of characters, lots of actions, lots of storylines and lots of sex (particularly in The Library). The series should be read in order so that the reader understands the character development, etc. It appears that there is more to come, because there are open storylines after The Cellar is complete.
SERIES RATING:
TITLE: The Library (Opposites #1.5)
LENGTH: 47 pages
BLURB:
Three gay couples run amuck in this short story where clothing, beds, even four walls are all optional! Want to know what happened that night in the library? Cirian and Rian had a fight in the library and Rian ends up naked on the desk, on his back, at Cirian’s mercy. Want to know how far things went with ice cream? A romantic evening by the fire feeding his husband ice cream leads to a lot more than heavy petting for Aiyan and Kaden. Want to know what was going on when those birds fled? Travelling hundreds of miles, battling the rebels and then travelling back to House Gaeland will take it out of you. But when Tanis wants something, he takes it. Raven is about to be bent over a tree!
REVIEW:
This installation of the Opposites series is a short steamy affair expanding on some scenes we saw in the first book that are just to keep you wanting more, and to transition into book 2, Appearances. There is just tons of hot heavy scintillating sex and passion done in flashbacks between Cian and Rian, the parents of Kaden and crew. Raven and Tanis are still going at it like demolition bunnies. Honestly, those two can’t seem to do the hot and heavy without destroying half the room. I think they are up to 4 beds, one piano bench, as well as numerous other objects. Nothing is safe. Cian and Rian prove that they can go at it just as hard and heavy themselves, as they do more than just read in the library. Just enjoy this one for what it is. Hot steamy filler.

TITLE: Appearances (Opposites #2)
LENGTH: 196 PAGES
BLURB
Appearances, can be deceiving.
Raven and Tanis are trying very hard to merge their vastly different lifestyles, but Tanis issues with his own past could prove to be more than their fragile relationship can handle. Is their love for each other strong enough to weather the oncoming storm? Aiya and Sawyer have fought hard to be together in a world where Opposite relationships are generally forbidden. Yet, they are still forced to keep their relationship a secret while they are outside the walls of House Gaeland. Everyone assumes that the only threat lies outside their walls, the group of rebels led by Cillian. But something is happening within House Gaeland, something that hasn’t happened since GWI. And with all the attention focused on that, their guard is down. An evil that was under their nose all along strikes, and someone will make the ultimate sacrifice to save another. Appearances is the second book in the Opposites series, the series should be read in order.
REVIEW:
I would just love to jump into this with all the juicy tidbits that come with beginning a new book with a series but I cannot spoil you all too much, can I? Aiya, Sawyer and Maeve have settled into a relationship that is working out for them even though it is still not accepted readily by everyone else. Aiyan and Kaiden are still going passionately strong and Raven and Tanis are still breaking everything around them in their own passionate endeavors. Now we get another set of problems. Kaden is kidnapped and almost killed, Aiya’s life is also threatened by someone she describes as a man dressed in a gorilla like fashion. Who is the very angry Gorilla Man that is so determined to end their happiness?
Oh my goodness, this is where it gets dicey and some confessions have to come forth regarding the who what and when of how he came to be and why he is so angry and determined to do as much damage as he can to bring down the society that cast him out so wrongly as a baby. He has a really good reason to be angry but don’t expect a happy ending where he flips from evil to good and they play happy families. What was done to him he feels is just unforgivable and he is determined to bring to its knees a society he feels is based on the lunacy of a scientist. A scientist who may not have been totally sane, as is the social structure that resulted from that scientist’s actions. Poor Maeve, who has entered into a relationship of her own, is also a target of revenge when she doesn’t do what her lover, Autumn, wants her to. The repercussions are felt throughout the castle as all is revealed there as well. I feel for poor Maeve, married yet not, in love but not enough, and worse yet, blind to the wants and needs of the woman she embraces until it is too late and major damage has been done.
There are a lot of storylines going on here and I don’t want to reveal them and spoil the story for you, but I will tell you this, one of the dads goes insane upon learning that Aiya is expecting a baby and he does something so rash and unforgiveable that it rips the family apart at the seams and leaves a lot of healing to recover from it.
Looking back at what all happened, it seems all of the bad things aren’t from the outside. It is all from within the families and societal structures they had to follow without hesitation.
I was shocked and surprised, as I am sure you will be, at how this ends and I am looking forward to the next installation of the series.
This is a well written book and is a perfect follow up to book one, Opposites. You will not be disappointed in purchasing this novel.

TITLE: The Cellar (Opposites #2.5)
LENGTH: 42 pages
BLURB:
It’s time to learn the truth about what happened that day in The Cellar. Taryn and Thanos are the formidable Ambassadors of House Orion. Taryn was born into power, bred from birth to lead the people of Greece along with his sister Theresa, Thanos was never a part of his mother’s plan. The son of a fisherman was not a suitable match for the son of Greece as far as their mother was concerned, but Taryn always takes what he wants. The Cellar is the story of how these two men met and fell in love, and what lengths Taryn went to, to ensure he kept his man. This novella also contains a more detailed accounting of what happened the night Raven and Tanis went for a walk on the beach, and the adult version of Mistletoe and Mayhem that was initially released as a free short through Goodreads.
REVIEW:
Oh my goodness, what is a properly brought up prince to do when he falls passionately in love with a simple fisherman? Anything and everything to make it possible to keep him forever. Never mind what the moms and dads have planned for him Prince Thanos is determined to have his man so he does what any man would do, get caught in a compromising situation in front of enough witnesses to force a marriage to happen. For once this oft trotted out scenario works for the lovers involved and they go on to make a great life together full of happiness and go on to birth Tanis and Maeve and get their happily ever after.
With that said , I have to warn you that there must be another book to this series I haven’t seen come out yet as all the open storylines have not been closed in this novella. I can’t wait to see what comes next!!
