REVIEW:
This story was a tricky one. Although well written, I found it hard to truly connect with the characters. This was in no way due to bad writing or editing, it was just (for me) the storyline. I am a huge fan of books which feature shifters regardless of species. For some unknown reason, this story felt as if it was a continuation of another story. I kept thinking that I was missing something and I kept going back to try and figure out what it was and couldn’t come up with anything. This novella felt like it might have been a conclusion, final chapter or epilogue of a longer story; there were quite a few gaps that needed to be filled so the reader didn’t feel as if they’re on the back end of this story. I wanted to—needed to know more about these characters to truly connect with them. Reading this felt more like an appetizer instead of a full meal and I was still a bit peckish afterwards.
