With one week until Christmas, David Poulter is on his way to a reunion of his Chemistry degree group, fifteen years after they all graduated from Manchester University. He’s looking forward to seeing his old friends. They’ve lost touch over the years, and it will be good to see them all again.
Especially Cameron Trent. Talk about the one that got away… Still, David wasn’t out when he was a student, and as for Cameron, David didn’t have a clue as to his friend’s sexuality.
So when David finds himself unexpectedly sitting opposite Cameron on the train to Manchester, he can’t believe it. And when he learns that not only is Cameron gay, but that his confident exterior hid a shy young man who was too nervous to come right out and ask him on a date all those years ago, the trip up north takes a new direction – one that David is not going to forget.
And Christmas might be very different this year.
REVIEW:
First off, let me start by saying I never even consider reading books of this length because I read too fast. I wish I was one of those people who plod through a book taking their time, putting it down at will, etc. Not me. Most books are single sitting reads, so 59 pages? Unthinkable. But the cover caught my eye first and then the blurb called out to me and I picked it up for review.
What is the chance you could reserve a seat on a train on your way to a school reunion, and the guy who got away would have the seat right across from you? When it happens to David, he has no clue what to do. Little does he know that Cameron is thinking the same thing!
This was one of those feel good at Christmas type stories, but with some pretty hot sex thrown in! I really enjoyed it. I won’t say anything else so that I don’t give away the entire story. It is well worth the small price for the book. Pick it up today for a nice evening’s read.
