He desperately wants to get back to the UK and salvage their relationship—if there’s even anything waiting for him when he gets home.
REVIEW:
This sweet and very tender story is about Idris who realizes that his life isn’t getting any better, in fact, it’s getting worse. He’s the only one who can change it and when he does…what happens?
Idris has worked so hard for the career that he’s chosen. He’s even moved to a new country in order for him to get the promotion/career that he wants so bad.
The issue that arises is that his relationship with Dan, who has been by his side and supported him is in jeopardy. Serious jeopardy.
I like how we get to see things from Idris’ POV and just how sorry he is. How he finally realizes that this job isn’t what he thought it would be and just how it’s put his personal life in jeopardy.
I really liked this story. I liked how this character came alive for me. I really liked how Idris’ hopes and dreams and his reality was felt by the reader. I really enjoyed this story. It in parts made my heart sad and yet, fill it with such hope.
A perfect, tender story that was just amazing for this Advent Calendar.
