BLURB:
Orpheus “O” Drummond, a recent Ph.D. graduate, is visiting Australia after defending his thesis, and being dumped by his boyfriend. While alone on the beach in Australia was not how he’d originally planned on spending his Christmas, when O runs into Gage, he figures Santa knew exactly what he was doing.
Gage is traveling away from his Texan home, trying to “find himself.” When he finds O instead, he doesn’t think things could have worked out better. Together Gage and O celebrate Christmas in the best way they can think of.
REVIEW:
Orpheus ‘O’ Drummond, is going through a recent breakup. His boyfriend of 5 years unexpectedly breaks up with him just days after he defends his thesis and earns his PhD. Before the breakup they had planned a romantic trip to Australia before O starts his career. O decides that he is going to stick with the plan and go to Australia for some “me” time.
After hours on a plane flying from his home country of Canada to Australia O finds himself on a beach. Sitting in the sand, reflecting on his life he meets Gage. Gage is an American from Texas who’s been on vacation in Australia for a month. Like O, Gage is taking this time to try and find himself.
Like with all Sean Michael books the spark between the two main characters is electric and immediate. They sit on the beach for a bit and very quickly decide to rent a hotel room because the attraction is so strong. The sex scene is hot, very hot which I believe Sean Michael is a master of.
I think if you are a reader of Sean Michael books you already know that this author writes a lot of sex into his stories. Sometimes there is really no plot at all, just sex. And that’s basically what this is. We get a bit of background from the characters, there’s no romance, no real build up of anything significant just hot attraction and hot sex.
I didn’t hate this book because I know what to expect from Sean Michael. Needless to say, I didn’t love this book either. It was just ok. I like how they planned to further their connection by staying together and seeing what might possibly happen. I liked that this wasn’t instalove, that wouldn’t have worked here. This was an ok, HFN story.

I do like the premise…
The blurb certainly piques ones interest. I haven’t read many stories from Sean so your review has me thinking.
