LENGTH: 53 pages
BLURB:
Garnet Evergreen has never heard of an elf abandoning the North Pole for a human, but he yearns to be the first. Ever since he saw Wes, the boy with sorrowful eyes, Garnet felt an undeniable kinship. Over the years, he’s watched that boy grow into a man, and now he’s determined to give Wes a Christmas he’ll never forget. If only Garnet had thought to test his father’s sleigh before leaving…
Orphaned as a child, Wes spends every Christmas alone at his cabin. When he’s woken by a suspicious boom and finds a wrecked sleigh and an unconscious elf, he doesn’t know how to react. Wes isn’t fanciful. He doesn’t give much credence to the stories about Santa Claus and flying reindeer. But a part of him wants desperately to believe when Garnet promises forever, even if life has taught him that no one ever stays…
REVIEW:
If nothing else gets you in the Christmas spirit, then this story will!! What a cute, fun short little love story to brighten your day.
Wes has had several curve balls thrown at him throughout his short 23 years. He is a foster child but was lucky enough to be adopted by a good man. Unfortunately his adoptive father died suddenly but left Wes his business and worldly possessions. Wes took that as an opportunity to make himself as successful as possible and earn that gift he was given. But, Wes has never been happy, never had that one true love. He has his dogs, his business, and some friends but no one to bring that light in his life.
Garnet Evergreen is a full fledge toy making elf from Santa’s workshop. Being an elf has given him magic powers and Elf senses. He also has access to watch over human children so that he can report to Santa who’s been naughty or nice. There’s always been one child that has made Garnet’s heart sing. Garnet has been drawn to Wes since they were both children. He’s been able to pop up in Wes’s life every 5 or so years to check on him and to let him know of his presence.
But Garnet has had enough of waiting. He wants to be with Wes. He wants to build a life with him. So, he steals his father’s sled and crashes his way into Wes’s lonely life and his lonely heart.
If you are looking for hot steamy elf sex then this is not the story for you. These two have a sweet, smoldery, passion. Their attraction and chemistry is undeniable and it’s so perfect for these two characters.
I loved how Santa’s is portrayed as an open minded, caring Grandfather figure. His compassion for Garnet and his feelings just warms the heart.
This was just the perfect little story to ramp up the Christmas festivities!! A must read Christmas story!!
