Review:
I look forward to the Advent stories every year from Dreamspinner. You can be guaranteed 31 stories full of love and most of the time, light. There might be a few drops of angst, but I am always left smiling.
This story by SJD Peterson definitely made me smile. Braylon met the man of his dreams one December in Canada and in the rush of the moment, never got a last name or number to be able to see him again. He returns to the place they met every December hoping to find his happiness but as time goes on, it all starts to seem like a dream he needs to let go of.
Except the year he gets an exceptional gift and it changes everything.
I loved this sweet story of hope and devotion with a special appearance by a familiar face.
I can’t say a lot about this story without giving too much away. It’s very short and really it’s a shame. I can’t find too much to complain about except that I would have loved to have read an expanded version of Ms. Peterson’s tale of love lost and found.
But then again, I always want to see more of a really good story.

Thank you for posting this review
SJD is a really good writer and thanks for the review:=)
I bought the Advent package when it was on special offer and am really enjoying the stories. Now I have to be patient for this particular little gem to appear in my Daily dose box. Another of my own preferred Authors….. Ooh I do like Christmas Advent time at Dreamspinner.
This sounds like it’ll be heartrending at times, but rewarding!
I couldn’t quite part with $60 when the whole set was on sale, so now I’m reading reviews and trying to choose carefully. I love these short little Christmas stories. 🙂
So far they all sound so good. The anthology is so expensive and I wish I had picked it up earlier..=(
