My book SLAP AND TICKLE came out at the end of October. It’s a London romance – that applies to the location *and* the author! – set in and around the ice cream shop With A Kick, and contributing to the menu its own special dollop of sauce-iness.

 

Is that a paddle you can see hanging on the wall behind the very sexy, albeit also very sensible, main character Bryan? And a leather belt curling around the stem of the sundae glass? Have I taken to writing BDSM now?

 

Well, no I haven’t. I may be a reader of the genre, but it’s not something I know enough about to write confidently. And that situation’s reflected in my cautious hero Bryan – except that he definitely wants to find out more. As he says, “Just because I’m gay doesn’t mean I want to march around in a leather jockstrap and harness. I don’t want that lifestyle.” But he *does* want to explore taking charge in the privacy of his own bedroom – and indulging in some spanking. He’s just never found a man who’ll let him do that.

 

Maybe he’s been looking in the wrong place. Because when he – literally – falls over the lively and volatile Phiz outside the With A Kick ice cream shop, it’s the beginning of a voyage of discovery for both of them. As Phiz says – and believe me, be prepared, he talks a LOT! – “sometimes…always…I’m looking for something else. To belong somewhere…to someone. I want some order in my life. From my man.”

 

And the ice cream theme? Like all of the books in the With A Kick series, there’s a special ice connected with Bryan and Phiz’s story. This time it’s the “Slap and Tickle, a combination of rich, smooth brandy-flavoured ice cream, and a topping of fizzy popping candy. A good illustration of the fireworks that ensue when Bryan and Phiz let loose together!

 

I hope you enjoy the story. Like all of the series, SLAP AND TICKLE can be read separately, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy all your visits to an ice cream shop with such a marvellous difference.

And the “Brain Freeze” effect is triggered when cold ice touches the roof of your mouth, causing blood vessels in the head to dilate. What a pleasant “ouch” LOL.
