I know it’s been a month since GRL, but I only got home last week and, dammit, I’m not ready to be done talking about it yet. To everyone I met there, thank you so much! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and, as a first timer, I appreciated that so much.
I was more nervous than I hope showed—special shoutout has to go to JP Barnaby and James Buchanan for not letting me freak out too much about our panel—but I was also incredibly excited to finally get the chance to meet so many online friends in person. If I missed you, I’m so sorry, but there’s always next year! I can’t promise that JA and I will be overflowing with plastic dinosaurs, candy or koala and kangaroo keyrings next year, but I’m sure we’ll have something fun.
But now I’m back, and I’m getting crazy-busy with writing. I’m still working on the sequel to Dark Space, and JA and I are also writing a third book in the Boy series, and a third book in the Prescott College series. Also, there may have been a lot of wine consumed in Chicago, and a lot of other books plotted. So I’d say we don’t have to worry about running out of ideas for at least another ten years!
Coming up next month, JA and I have two releases. The first is a short story in the Loose Id anthology Rated XXXmas. Our story is called Fall on Your Knees, and it’s a kinky Christmas-themed M/M/m smutfest. Two Doms, one sub, and a crazy Christmas together. It will be out on December 16.
Then, on December 29, our first book in the Playing the Fools series, The Two Gentlemen of Altona, comes out. I’m so excited for this one! It’s so much fun, and has been getting some great pre-release reviews. Here’s the blurb:
Mischief, thou art afoot.
Special Agent Ryan “Mac” McGuinness is having a rough week. Not only is he on a new diet, but he’s also been tasked with keeping Henry Page—the world’s most irritating witness—alive. Which is tough when Mac’s a breath away from killing the Shakespeare-quoting, ethically-challenged, egg-obsessed Henry himself. Unless killing isn’t really what Mac wants to do to him.
Con man Henry Page prefers to keep his distance from the law . . . though he wouldn’t mind getting a little closer to uptight, handsome Agent McGuinness. As the sole witness to a mob hit, Henry’s a valuable asset to the FBI. But he’s got his own agenda, and it doesn’t involve testifying.
When evidence surfaces of a mole in the FBI office, Mac and Henry are forced to go into hiding. Holed up in a fishing cabin, they’re surprised to discover that their feelings run more than skin deep. But as the mob closes in, Henry has to make his escape. And Mac has to decide how far he’s willing to go to keep Henry by his side.
You can pre-order The Two Gentlemen of Altona from Riptide, or Amazon. And check out Riptide for a sneak peek at the first few chapters!
I look forward to book 3 in the Boy series.
Thanks, Denise!
