Good morning everyone! First, I’d like to thank Love Bytes for helping me share about my newest release! Truth in Lace is a little different for me (haha) as it’s YA, and there’s no romance. Truth in Lace is an add-on story to Temptations of Desire, as it’s a flashback to shortly before the disaster that put the events in Temptations in motion. It’s not erotic, though there is a sexy pair of lace cheeky panties and a hardon, lol. As you can see from the blurb, Truth in Lace is about Alex’s journey, or rather the beginning of his journey, to accept who he is, even when Alex is a she.

I’ve already had a few questions from people about why I wrote a gender fluid character, why this short is YA, instead of my usual erotic content, and more. I’d like to take a moment to explain a little about my beloved Alex/Lexie and Truth. Truth was written as a prompt for the idea of ‘first times’ but instead of going for first time sex or first kiss, I thought about the struggle my Lexie would have gone through as he came to terms with the fact that as a gender fluid person, Alex was only male part of the time.

As if being a teen isn’t hard enough on us, add in gender identity confusion, a homophobic family, and you have a recipe for pain and disaster! Alex is not Trans, nor does he see himself as cross-dressing or dressing in drag. Alex truly feels boy some days, girl others, and a mix of both or neither on others. Yeah, that’s not hard for a 17 year old to work through… Thankfully for our Alex, he has a twin sister that loves Alex more than she respects or believes the hate her parents have tried to teach them.

I would like to invite you to take a short trip with a teenaged Alex as he struggles through figuring out who Alex is. That is, until Lyric (his sister) shows him that being her brother, sister, mix, or neither, is perfect and that there are others out there just like Alex—something we all need to know at varying times in our lives.

The flag represents the fluctuations and the flexibility of gender in genderfluid people.

The Pink represents femininity.

The White represents the lack of gender.

The Purple represents the combination of masculinity and femininity.

The Black represents all genders, including third genders.

The Blue represents masculinity.
