THIRDS: Book Three
New York City’s streets are more dangerous than ever with the leaderless Order of Adrasteia and the Ikelos Coalition, a newly emerged Therian group, at war. Innocent civilians are caught in the crossfire and although the THIRDS round up more and more members of the Order in the hopes of keeping the volatile group from reorganizing, the members of the Coalition continue to escape and wreak havoc in the name of vigilante justice.
Worse yet, someone inside the THIRDS has been feeding the Coalition information. It’s up to Destructive Delta to draw out the mole and put an end to the war before anyone else gets hurt. But to get the job done, the team will have to work through the aftereffects of the Therian Youth Center bombing. A skirmish with Coalition members leads Agent Dexter J. Daley to a shocking discovery and suddenly it becomes clear that the random violence isn’t so random. There’s more going on than Dex and Sloane originally believed, and their fiery partnership is put to the test. As the case takes an explosive turn, Dex and Sloane are in danger of losing more than their relationship.
REVIEW:
OH MY LANTA!!! This book kept me hooked from the first word to the very last word, AGAIN!! These books just keep getting better and better. I seem to pick it up and not be able to put it down until the last word has been read.
Dex and Sloane are still going strong both as professional and personal partners. They are still finding their balance with each other and really, everything seems to be going well for them. They are really being able to rely on each other. To know that the other person has their back and is there for them to support and lean on if necessary. That they share in the enjoyment of great things and the hurt and comfort of other things.
So, there is so MAD SHIT Happening in this story. The opposing groups of Humans: The Order of Adrasteia, the group that Isaac lead and Therians : Ikelos Coalition are getting more and more violent. The Coalition is group has training and they are out to beat some humans DOWN!! There is a bit of play going on with the Coalition members having training by an THIRDS Agent. SAY WHAT?! I know, I felt the same way. When you delve further into the mystery of who the hell this agent is doing and WTF is going on…..OOOOOHHHHH NELLY!!! I sat there with my mouth hanging open and screaming WTF**KERY is this!!!!
You get to meet/learn about so many new characters in this story. Austen is a Cheetah Therian who is a Squadron Specialist Agent for Destructive Delta. Kinda like an CI. Austen has been working with Destructive Delta since he was a kid, working with Sloane. Holy Hannah, Austen is such a flirty boy. He’s got the hots for our resident Mr Broody and it was fun to watch them interact together. Cael is still our little brother whom we love and just want to keep safe and happy. Cael is going through some stuff and really, you just hurt for him. LOTS!! I really felt for Cael in this story. We get to see a bit more of Lou, Dex’s ex. He’s coming around a bit more and it was nice to see that Dex and Lou are getting along. Levi Stone is a White Tiger Therian who seems to be such a pretty good guy to have on the Teams. He seems really reliable and well liked. Ellis Tay
Ash, HOLY SHIT….ASH. Wow, this boy…I don’t even know what to say regarding him. Ash does his level best to be the absolute DICK to Cael and Dex to a lesser extent. But, wow…I NEVER, EVER thought that I’d see Ash do and say the mean and horrible things that he does. However, it was really nice to see a bit more of Ash’s history and to be better able to understand-ish, of where he’s coming from when he does or says what he says. I liked that no matter what…Ash and Sloane are the very best of friends, bordering on being “family” the way these two guys are. Ash really kinda stole the show for me in this book and I SWEAR…I really can’t wait for his book!! I ALWAYS Liked Ash. From the first moment that Fool came on the screen…I knew that I’d just love him. I Heart Him Even More Now!!
You ARE NOT GOING TO BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS BOOK!! Charlie pulls you into this wonderful world and doesn’t let go!! Let Me Tell You, if you’ve not read the first two books…you need to get up on it!! If you have…this is a wonderful progression for the series that seems to just keeps getting better and better with each and every word!!
