Welcome to the Riptide Publishing/L. A. Witt blog tour for Starstruck, the first in the multi-author Bluewater Bay series!
It’s time to play Fact or Crap again!
Two of the following “facts” are crap. Post your guesses in the comments. Anyone who gets one correct will be entered into a drawing for an ebook off my backlist (this is separate from the overall blog tour winner), and anyone who gets both correct will automatically win two ebooks.
Ready? Here we go!
- Though most of my books are fairly smutty, Starstruck is very light on sex scenes.
- One of the later books, Lone Wolf, is a romantic comedy written with Aleksandr Voinov.
- Bluewater Bay was in part modeled after Forks, the Washington town in which Twilight was set and filmed.
- Starstruck is the first book I’ve written in which someone gets bitten by a shark.
- All of the independent/foreign films mentioned in Starstruck actually exist.
- Levi’s Maine coons—Link and Zelda—were modeled after my own two cats.
- Like Levi and Carter, I am a film snob with a soft spot for indie films.
- Some of the rooms in Levi’s house—specifically his home theater and a “museum room” where he displays movie props—are based on rooms my husband and I plan to have when we build our house.
- While writing Starstruck, I had sympathy pains for Levi and his shoulder injury. Shortly after I finished the book, I reinjured my shoulder.
- Before writing Starstruck, I visited the Olympic Peninsula and the area where Bluewater Bay would be if it really existed.
L.A. Witt is an abnormal M/M romance writer currently living in the glamorous and ultra-futuristic metropolis of Omaha, Nebraska, with her husband, two cats, and a disembodied penguin brain that communicates with her telepathically. In addition to writing smut and disturbing the locals, L.A. is said to be working with the US government to perfect a genetic modification that will allow humans to survive indefinitely on Corn Pops and beef jerky. This is all a cover, though, as her primary leisure activity is hunting down her arch nemesis, erotica author Lauren Gallagher, who is also said to be lurking somewhere in Omaha.
L. A.’s backlist is available on her website, and updates (as well as random thoughts and the odd snarky comment) can be found on her blog or on Twitter (@GallagherWitt).
Starstruck Blurb:
Hollywood is full of dirty secrets, but Carter refuses to be Levi’s.
Retired action star Levi Pritchard has made a quiet life for himself in the sleepy logging town of Bluewater Bay, Washington. But then Hollywood comes to film the wildly popular television series Wolf’s Landing, and Bluewater Bay isn’t so sleepy anymore. His retirement doesn’t stick, either, because he’s offered a part on the show—exactly the kind of complex role he’d always wanted, one that would prove him more than a glorified stuntman. The only catch? He has to stay in the closet—no matter how attractive he finds his co-star.
Carter Samuels is the critically-acclaimed male lead on Wolf’s Landing. And now, the man who inspired him to take up acting—and made him realize he’s gay—is joining the cast, and sparks fly between them instantly. But Carter is out and proud and determined to stay true to himself.
Remaining just friends is the only thing to do, as both the studio and Levi’s disapproving, dysfunctional family keep reminding them. Except their friendship deepens by the day, tempting them with what they can’t have but both desperately need.
Starstruck is available November 3rd from Riptide Publishing. And the second book in the series, LB Gregg’s There’s Something About Ari, is out November 10th.
Every comment on this blog tour enters you in a drawing for a choice of two eBooks off my backlist (excluding Starstruck) and a $10 Riptide Publishing store credit. Entries close at midnight, Eastern time, on November 9th, and winners will be announced on November 10th. Contest is NOT restricted to U.S. entries.

I’m going to say #8 and #9 are crap.
I loved the post.
Here’s my guesses. Statements # 1 & 2 are crap.
Wish me luck. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the chance!
I’m gonna guess #2 & #8. Fingers crossed. 🙂
First off, I LOVED this book and this post. Very fun. Breaking it down:
1.True- That was something that kind of surprised me was there was less sex than normal but it worked for these two and it made their time together more special.
2.True-Can’t wait to read it because I love it when you two write together.
3. True-Having been to Forks a couple of times, I could see Bluewater Bay in the town and you mentioned it in the book that it was another place Levi had considered moving to.
4. True-although I’m wavering on this one a little, for some reason I’m thinking I might be wrong here.
5. True-It was hard not to cheat and look them all up but I didn’t so I’m trusting you here.
6. False-I think I would have seen you mention that more often on FB or blogging but again…I’m wavering here.
7. True–I don’t think you would have written so in depth about indie films if you weren’t in to them.
8. True–because it sounds like something you and Eddie would enjoy.
9. True–shoulder pain is easy to sympathize with and you did re-injure your shoulder.
10. False–I don’t remember you posting about being in Washington in the last year or so although you did talk about the area frequently.
No matter what, this was fun!
I have no idea which ones are crap so I pick #2 and #8
I’m hoping #1 is crap ( love my smut!) and I guess # 2.
I’ll go with 5 and 8.
