BLURB:
Belail took another drag from the blood tinted clove cigarette, the puffs of putrid smoke swirling to show the chosen image again. “So, the former High Commander of Second Hell has finally set his heart on Raven White.” Such pity that the dear Detective assigned to enforce supernatural and paranormal cases in Quebec would be chosen by this particular demon. Bla’Gar is well… different. Another drag, another puff. Relishing the new image of a chained Raven; withering in pleasure on Bla’Gar’s Hellfire bed. Clearly a scenario that would keep Belail entertained… for now. One to watch; intriguing to see at what lengths Bla’Gar would go to court the human Detective. And possibly… feasibly claiming the human’s soul for Bla’Gar himself? Licking his lips Belail returned to the shadows from once he came. Scoffing his barbarous thoughts to the darkness. Though it would be fair to say that supers and paras aren’t the only ones that have teeth, claws and horns.
REVIEW:
All I can say is WOW. I absolutely loved this little tease of story. It is four years after an event called The Revelation. Humans are now aware that Paranormal, Supernatural and Preternatural beings walk amongst us.
In his story we’re introduced to Raven White, a detective “enforcer” who is the only detective in town dealing with super and para cases. Raven meets a very big, very hot, blond stranger at the coffee shop one morning, before you know it the guy is growling at him, then the guy grabs Raven’s finger and starts sucking on it! Unfortunately, Raven gets a call from work and when he turns around the stranger is gone.
To solve a missing person case, Raven must go to see Freshán Chetlér, someone that all the supers and paras fear. When he arrives, he discovers Mr. Chetlér is the same stranger he met at the coffee shop.
We, the readers, know that Freshán Chetlér is actually a demon named Bla’Gar, but Raven doesn’t. Things get steamy, and then we’re at the end of the story. OK, I left out a lot of detail in between, but the story is only 32 pages, so any more details would spoil your read! Episode 2 is coming out this week and you can best believe I will be getting my hands on it as soon as possible. I very highly recommend you get both Episode 1 and Episode 2 and get reading!
