AUTHOR: Riley Hart
PUBLISHER: Self Pub
LENGTH: 229
BLURB:
Nothing in life is ever easy, and no one is more painfully aware of that than Josiah Evans, Mateo Sanchez, and Tristan Croft. They know what they want—each other—but with three people as broken as they are, all those pieces aren’t so easily mended.
Josiah is their glue. All he wants is to give his men what they need.
Mateo wants to absolve himself of his sins. To be worthy of love and to protect it.
Tristan must let go of his past, must learn how to need, and what it really means to take care of someone.
To keep the balance intact, they all have their roles to play. But what happens if the balance shifts? What happens when someone doesn’t play the right part? If one of them falters, they all feel the strain.
The only way to complete their full circle is for all their pieces, despite the curves and rough edges, to fit together perfectly. To do that, Josiah, Mateo, and Tristan must learn to get over the pasts that have defined who they are. And when an old enemy returns and threatens the foundation of their new life, decisions will be made, and boundaries will be tested that could change their lives forever.
REVIEW:
I have never been a big fan of threesome stories. I could never understand the idea of sharing that type of love with two or more people until I read Broken Pieces. I immediately fell in love with Mateo and Josiah together. Then when we met Tristan after Mateo left Josiah, I loved him and Josiah together too; it didn’t bother me like it normally would have. It felt right, just like it did with Mateo and Josiah. So, when Mateo and Josiah are reunited after 10 years it felt natural for all three of them to come together. And after some issues and head butting, come together they did. This leads us to Full Circle where Tristan, Josiah, and Mateo are living together happily in a threesome relationship. Mateo and Tristan still both have their guilt and pain and Josiah still is the glue that keeps them together and heals them with his love.
Full Circle basically starts right up where Broken Pieces left off. At the end of Broken Pieces we were left with a Happy for Now situation which was good because the way this author writes makes you want more.
Mateo is still struggling with being “good enough” for his men. He still has his dishwashing job and he is still in love with photography. Problems with his parole officer visits lead the threesome to a decision to move. They choose the building that Tristan’s mom lives in. Unfortunately for the threesome they have to rent 2 apartments so it looks like Mateo isn’t living with Tristan due to a conflict of interest with his lawyer job.
The author takes us on a journey that at times is painful. Mateo finds out Tristan is keeping tabs on the gang situation in New York and that he ordered a hit on Mateo’s uncle. What ensues is a falling out between Mateo and Tristan which leaves Josiah not know what’s going on with his men. This causes a crack to form in their foundation which leads Josiah to leave and think things through. Another tragedy befalls the threesome when arson takes the coffee shop Tristan bought for Josiah. Mateo ultimately feels responsible for the arson so his guilt rises in the aftermath. To add more fuel to the fire (no pun intended) Tristan’s best friend Ben is kidnapped and unbeknownst to Josiah or Tristan, Mateo leaves the state to save Ben from his hate filled uncle. It takes a short amount of time for Tristan and Josiah to figure out what is going on and jumps on a flight themselves to save their lover. The trip deals the threesome an awful blow but they weather through it choosing not to fall apart under unbelievable strain the threesome fight to get their life and love back.
I really loved this book. Throughout the story the author built the love these men share so awesomely that at times it actually felt like a tangible thing. We were taken on a journey of pain and a lot of self doubt and self reflection but through those moments the love was always the constant. I don’t think Mateo, Josiah, and Tristan’s story could have ended any better. A must read series for those in love with M/M/M!!!
