Vinny is just your typical all-around average guy, well, except for the leather and the floggers, oh and maybe that little room at the back of his house where he likes to take a guy and strap his ass before he before he nails him. Well, maybe Vinny isn’t so average. At least, that’s what Angel thinks. You see, Angel got himself into a bit of trouble by scheduling a fetish shoot with The Sounding Board when he’s never even been tied up.
Who better to show him the ropes than professional fetish model, Vinny D’Forino? The answer will bring him to his knees
Review:
I have been following this series by J.P. Barnaby from the beginning, liking the fact that she can write in such different ways.
This series is just a not-so-complicated read. It’s something I like to read when I am looking for something sexy and not too heavy.
This part though brings a whole other part to the table.
Vinny is really a hardcore guy inside and outside. His profession and reputation mark his succes. When asked for help by a friend, he takes on teaching some BDSM basics to new guy on the block “Angel.” From the moment they meet there is a sizzling, smoking hot sexual connection there. You feel it burning from your screen.
When Vinny makes an effort to slowly teach Angel the things he needs to know, they both find more than they were looking for.
Angel finds out all about limits and what he likes or dislikes and Vinny notices that his strong beliefs about not wanting a permanent sub (again) and his determination to not get emotionally involved are being torn up.
There is a bit of (suspected) drama but that is been writing out very realistically in my opinion.
The only thing I keep bumping my head against is the fact that these stories are so short.
They don’t feel rushed apart from the abrupt ending but they leave me wanting to know just a bit more about how it continues and this part was no exception to that feeling.
I have to say, though, when there is a new part coming I know I will be excited to read that one too as the writing of author J.P Barnaby is reason alone to do that besides the extremely hot, complicated characters and sexy situations she creates in this particular series.

I loved that you pointed out the complex characters that J.P. paints so well… Her writing style is very concise and she puts realistic ‘soul’ into each character that makes me love (or hate, as appropriate) these characters and neeeeeed to find out what happens to them.
