Learning to Love: Book Four
One house, three couples, and one year left until their final exams….
Evan and Daniel want to take their D/s relationship to the next level. When Daniel suggests conducting a little research at a BDSM club, Evan is more than up for it. Trouble is, one of their housemates isn’t happy about this.
Finances tighten for new couple Josh and Chris. Wanting to ease some of the pressure on Chris, Josh starts as an agency nurse. But tackling a heavy workload at medical school and working late-shifts leaves little time for the couple. Something’s gotta give.
In Spain, Sean was diagnosed as suffering from migraines. But after the medications have no effect and he starts suffering from other complaints, he decides to get a second opinion without telling Michael. When Michael finds out, Sean’s usually laid-back husband’s reaction shocks everyone. But Michael needs to get his head sorted fast, because Sean needs his strength.
As their school career comes to a close and the one person who holds them all together starts to fall apart, the final exam is a true test of friendship.
REVIEW:
I was very excited when this book was finally going to be released although I have to also admit it was with a heavy heart I picked it up. This series introduced me to author K.C Wells and I fell completely for these boys, her writing and her characters. So knowing this series was going to end made me sad a bit also.
When I picked it up knowing that I would hopefully get the answers K.C Wells left me with after the third part. I got that and even more! I couldn’t stop reading, grabbing every moment I had to continue reading it (tip for readers don’t read the second half in public places, more about that later …)
Final Exam takes us to the house of the six men we know and have gotten to love over the first three books. Surprisingly enough perhaps, there is no new couple introduced but the author stayed true to her characters who were already there and took them all on a final ride (applause for that, personally speaking).
Taking us as the blurb already mentions on their own specific trip while being in their final year in college.
We finally get answers as to what is going on with Sean, we see Even and Daniel experiencing new things in their relationship (very surprising introduction there to a certain club and some of its members, brilliant move).
Can Josh and Chris, whose relationship is still in a way in early stages, continue to blossom?
And what happens when their glue (Sean) dries out and their rock (Michael) seems to pulverize under it all?
I am not going to tell you, of course I’m not because why would I? To spoil the pretty of this series? To spoil the brilliantness of this last part, because it is just that…brilliant!
I don’t normally use that word but it is what comes to mind when I think about this story.
A story that buzzes with hot steaming sex and loving, is built on love and friendship and is perfect proof of the different ways someone can love someone else. A story that also made me cry, something that rarely happens (not handy when you are on a work break btw.)
It’s a storyline/series that takes you to all kind of situations that can happen to and with a person and his “family” (either by blood or chosen) and how they can handle the pressure and survive through it all.
A final part that, sorry Miss K.c, opens opportunities for a new series, for new books by introducing interesting new characters! I mean lets face it, I want to know what happens to Declan and Stephen and Miles and how about the new tenants Baz & Sam…..well you get the picture 🙂
If you haven’t read this series, I hope now you know that it’s finished (for some people an extra reason to wait) that you will. I cannot imagine anyone picking this series up and not enjoying it.
Fall in love with any of these men or all of them, but just know that you will, no matter how hard you would want to fight it. Prepare to “learn to love” (all of) them.
