Coconut Cove is the hottest new sensation to sweep the nation — a gay teen drama filled to the brim with hot stars and even hotter action. It’s catching the public’s attention and winning their hearts. But all the drama, heartache, and life lessons aren’t just for the characters on the screen. They may only play teens on TV but when it comes to romance, these twenty-somethings still have lessons to learn.

You just have to be ready to drink it in. Bottoms up … or should we say off?

“Oh my God, are you Flynn Wright?”
One of the men, dressed in a neon pink tank top and bright beach shorts, practically swooned at Flynn’s appearance. Others, dressed similarly, grew equally excited. And so it began. Flynn really didn’t mind his fans. They kept him in jobs, after all. It would have been nice to not be so hot and sweaty after his run though. Nothing he could do about it now, so he smiled and jogged up the steps.
“I am.”
He accepted several hugs and a few friendly kisses before he pulled away. They didn’t seem to mind that Flynn could really use a shower before embracing anyone, but he sure as hell did.
“We love you on The Presidio. Is it really true you aren’t going back for the new season?”
“Sorry to break it to you all, but I’m working on a new show now. Coconut Cove. Have you heard of it?” Flynn gave them all a flirty smile and a wink. “You know, the one where I actually get to play a gay character?”
There were several beaming smiles at that announcement. As much as the fans wanted Brad and Hank’s friendship to be something more, that’s all it would ever be.
“But we wanted to see Brad and Hank together!”
One of the men, who looked to be in his midtwenties, seemed particularly agitated by the news.
“No can do. I think the network had other plans for Hank.”
Plans that had nothing to do with Brad, but Flynn couldn’t really say much more about it without causing himself a load of trouble. The network had made it very clear on his departure that he needed to keep his mouth shut.
One of the other men shook his head. “Brank fans are going to be pissed.”
“Everyone has been talking about the amazing chemistry between you guys. Were you really good friends? Or, you know…” The guy nudged Flynn with his elbow and gave him a sly grin.
“Just friends.” They weren’t even that now. Flynn fought to keep his grin in place. Some days, it came in handy being an actor. “Hank is staying on the show though. I’m sure they have something really great in store for him.”
Flynn wanted nothing more than to change the subject. He scrambled to think of some sort of teaser he could give them for Coconut Cove that wouldn’t get him in too much trouble.
“Hey, can we get your autograph?”
“Sure!” he said quickly, thankful that a lovely lady in a hibiscus blouse and matching red capris had saved him. He really did love his fans.
Flynn followed the sweet older woman over to her table, and a small crowd began to gather. He deflected a few more questions about his former role and kept the attention on Coconut Cove and how well shows set in Florida always seemed to do.
The buzz spread, and people trickled in from outside to join the pack surrounding him. Flynn continued to sign his name on whatever surface he was offered. One of the waiters provided a black Sharpie, so Flynn signed shirts, napkins, and even one really nicely muscled chest. More vacationers walked up to the deck, whether drawn by the crowd or the Pirate’s Booty’s suggestive sign, Flynn didn’t know. He ended up with his back against the railing and tried to keep up with the requests as best he could. None of the men moved aside as the new ones came up.
“Out of the way! Coming through! Move it or lose it!”
A familiar face appeared.
Seth.
He pushed the crowd aside and handed Flynn a bright pink smoothie with a tropical umbrella perched on the top in a piece of fruit.
“Let the man drink his breakfast, fellas!” Seth turned his back on Flynn and faced the rest of the crowd. “Now, who’s here for a smoothie? Come on, I know the rumors about my smoothies.”
Several of the vacationers started laughing, and Seth began playing for the crowd. Strange for Flynn to recognize it so easily. Seth acted the part as much as Flynn did on camera. The world really was a stage, or something to that effect.
A sassy southern lady, Poppy Dennison developed an obsession with things that go bump in the night in her early years after a barn door flew off its hinges and nearly squashed her. Convinced it was a ghost trying to get her attention, she started looking for other strange and mysterious happenings around her. Not satisfied with what she found, Poppy has traveled to Greece, Malaysia and England to find inspiration for the burly bears and silver foxes that melt her butter. Her love of paranormal continues to flourish nearly thirty years later, and she writes steamy love stories about the very things that used to keep her up all night. If her childhood ghost is lucky, maybe one day she’ll give him his own happily ever after.
