From the author :
One of the best feelings you can have when writing is contact with readers who truly connect and care about a character you’ve created. In Loving Aidan, I needed a character to act as a catalyst for the romance in the story. It was not, originally, intended to be the giant role that it became, but the character grew, because I, like my readers, sorta loved Steven quite a lot.
I’m a big believer that every character in a story has their own story to tell, but when I finished Loving Aidan, it was pretty obvious to me whose story needed to be told next. I hope you will all read and enjoy Steven’s Heart when it comes out at the end of August.(release date set for aug 29 th ) For now, please enjoy this first look at the story: the cover.
Blurb:
When a love triangle breaks, Steven Everett is left alone to grieve over a boyfriend lost to someone else. Surrounded by friends too tied to Aidan’s new lover to give advice, Steven turns instead to a broken and beaten man, Aidan’s other ex, Michael Rossier, who also knows the pain of having loved and lost Aidan. Steven’s and Michael’s confessions grow deeper, each confiding in the other until neither can deny an attraction. But being with Michael feels like cheating, and Steven isn’t sure what to do. The connection get stronger every day, and Steven realizes he’s facing an impossible choice.
To make a relationship with Michael work, Steven needs to make peace with Michael’s troubled past. Even more terrifying, he’ll have to tell Michael the secret he’s never told anyone, not even Aidan. With Michael recovering from yet another surgery, Steven leaves to face the ghosts of the past. He has to be certain. This time, Steven knows, the decision means revealing the secrets of his heart and hoping their fragile feelings can survive.

My thanks to Dani and the reviewers at Love Bytes Reviews for the chance to do this cover reveal. As a promotion for the upcoming release, I’m providing one e-book copy of Loving Aidan (in pdf format) to give away to a lucky commenter who posts either a question about Loving Aidan, about Steven’s Heart, or about second chances at love. This is a great chance to catch up with the series and be ready for the release of Steven’s Heart. We’ll collect comments until August 14 and announce a winner on August 15th.
You can, of course, also buy Loving Aidan here:
Torquere does not do pre-release sales, so the link to purchase Steven’s Heart won’t be available until the actual release date.

I haven’t read the first book, but I am putting both books on my wishlist now. I’m glad that Steven gets his own story. Was Michael, his love interest in Loving Aiden as well?
Both characters appear in Loving Aidan, but are not a couple.
This is a really striking cover, Ashavan. I love it.
Thanks Sarah!
Both books sound like good reads.
I hope you enjoy it Cornelia!
I haven’t read Loving Aiden yet but I am adding it to my TBR list. I am my husband’s second chance at love 🙂
That’s sweet! It’s good to know second chances work out.
I haven’t read this author
I’d like to have a second chance at love
Lee: second chances are wonderful things. Let me know if you have any questions about the story.
How have I missed Loving Aiden?!
Question – What is the age group? Out of college? late 20’s – 30’s ?
thx for the giveaway
The primary characters are all college aged, and most of the story takes place on a college campus.
I haven’t read Loving Aiden yet but have read some of this authors short stories ( The Byte of Betrayal and The Colors of Romance). Would you say Loving Aiden and Steven’s Heart carry the same vibe as these two stories?
The Colors of Romance is told in a college setting, so there’s some similarity there, though the angst level is more in tune with The Byte of Betrayal. There’s a certain amount of a coming of age theme in Loving Aidan particularly. That is reflected to a lesser degree with Theo and his secret admirer in The Colors of Romance. That said, both stories are MUCH longer than either of the two mentioned, and so there is a lot more room for complicated character motivations and development.
I haven’t gotten to start this series, but am reminded of friends just by reading the blurb. It is definitely going on my TBR list. Does Loving Aiden lead directly into Steven’s heart?
There’s a brief overlap in time frame, though there is only one scene that appears in both books, taking up a small piece of one chapter (and from the point of view of a different character). So yes, they flow pretty naturally into each other.
Steven’s Heart sounds really good! I’m going to have to check out Loving Aiden and add it to my list. 🙂
I hope you enjoy it!
Sounds lovely! Will these work as standalones?
You don’t need to read Loving Aidan to understand Steven’s Heart (my editor hadn’t, which was helpful, because she was able to point out where I hadn’t provided enough detail during editing), but because Steven’s Heart starts as Loving Aidan is ending, it will give away a lot of the major plot events of Loving Aidan to someone who didn’t read Loving Aidan first.
This sounds like a very good book and I look forward to reading it and Loving Aidan.
Sorry for the delay. I have a severe illness in the family and was unable to pick the winner as scheduled. We should have a winner picked shortly. My apologies for the delay.
And I’m pleased to announce the winner of the giveaway is H.B. Thank you so much for your lovely comment and question! I hope you enjoy the vibe of Loving Aidan! I’ll check in with our host about contacting you to get you your pdf copy of Loving Aidan.
