LENGTH: 200 pages
BLURB:
Steven was on a mission he knew could cost him his life, but instead he might find himself truly living for the first time.
Steven has spent his life protecting his brother Adal and serving their sadistic father, Bashuan, as a means of bargaining for both of their lives. He’s done things no man should have to do, things no shifter should have to do. Throughout it all, Bashuan has hated him and Adal for being halfbreeds, part puma and part leopard. Doesn’t matter that Bashuan is responsible for their mixed blood. There’s no logic to his hatred.
But Adal has found a mate, and Steven is going to make sure his brother gets the opportunity to live out a normal shifter life with the man. He’s going to try his best, anyway. Steven is aware that Bashuan may win, that evil could triumph the new-found good in Steven’s life. He’s seen it happen—good guys don’t always survive.
What Steven forgets is that he’s not nor has he ever been the good guy, and the Fates have a reward for him that will break the rules of all known shifter matings. They’re sending him not one, but two mates, and both men will fight with him and for him—and nothing will keep them from Steven.

REVIEW:
So, I read this book right after I finished the first one and I was really happy that I did. It allowed me to stay in the mind frame of the world that the author created for us.
This book starts off basically from the moment that Isaiah ended, with Adal going off with Dorso and leaving Steven all alone to hunt down their father and make him pay for all the horrible things that he’s done not only to them but to their lepe over the years.
Steven is the older brother of Adal whom we met in Hide and he’s only ever loved his little brother. He’s always done whatever it took to keep his brother as safe as he could. Steven is really such a good guy. I loved getting to know Steven in this book. Steven is so filled with anger towards his father and is figuring that he’s going to die in trying to fulfill his goal. But that’s ok with him, as long as that means that Adal is safe with his mate, that’s all that really matters to him. Steven has never had anyone in his life that called to him and he thinks that he’s going to die without ever finding someone to love. I felt so bad for Steven. All that he’s ever known is the brutality of his father and the sweet innocent love of his brother. Steven thinks that he’s worthless in a way and is nothing more than a murderer. Steven is so much more and just by reading about him, I fell in love with this poor, abused character. He was beaten but he wasn’t broken. I truly wanted to hug him and tell him that everything was going to work out.
Cole and Shaun..these two guys are best friends since they were children. They have been in love with the other and yet, they weren’t each other’s mates and that hurt them both. They both worried about the other finding their mates and not being with the one that already loved them. I thought that these two guys were already cute together and then to add into the mix the mate that bridged the gap between them, was just perfect. Cole, the son of the Shaman, Remus, has his own power and is such a strong character. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to keep those that he loves safe from harm. Shaun, is the more submissive one of the group, but just barely. Shaun is the more outgoing one of the bunch, however, when he needs to stand up and be serious, there is nothing that will move him from the course that is set. I really loved watching these two guys be able to finally express their love for each other and yet also to have Steven be involved and never make him feel left out of their bond, it was really great to watch.
I liked that we finally got to see Bashaun in this story. I will admit that I already knew that I wasn’t going to like him, but to see him for the coward that he was, just made me feel bad that he lived his life with such anger and hatred. What a waste. I liked that we got to see Remus again. I really like this guy and can’t wait for more books to come out and see more of him. He’s got a story to share and I can’t wait to read it. I loved that we got to see Adal and Dorso make an appearance in the story. I so loved seeing the brothers back together again and the love that they share was so sweet. There were others along the way that I hope to see more of as the series goes on, but I won’t give away who they are, you’ll just have to read the book and see.
Now, there was a fair bit of sex in this book and I will tell you…it was pretty Damn Hot!! I thought that my kindle was going to melt, it was so steamy. I love a wonderful story of more than two men making a go of being in a relationship together. I loved how there wasn’t any jealously regarding the fact that Cole and Shaun having a history together and loving each other. I loved how the addition of Steven was really the key to making it work for them. The sexy times were filled not only with lust, but caring as well. Their intimacy was fully on display and yet it was really beautiful to watch.
I have to say that I really liked that there was so much action in this story. You were not only taken on an adventure into three men into a triad, but also an adventure into ridding the world of a horrible man who led with fear and abuse. The hunt was on and not just for Bashuan , but for our intrepid triad to keep safe on their journey.
I really have to say that I enjoyed this story. I liked the fact that we had a triad. I think that these guys truly wouldn’t be happy with anyone else but the guys that they are with. I really liked how these guys completed/complimented each other. They worked as a triad. I couldn’t just see two of these guys together. It truly only worked with the three of them.
So, I’d say…grab something to drink, sit down and just enjoy the ride that these three take you on and fall in love along the way.
