Title : Slasherazzi
Author: Daniel A. Kaine
Publisher: Wilde City Press
Length : pages
Daniel was born and raised in the Land of Rain, aka England, where he now lives with his four lovable furballs; Mik, Ash, Spidey and Flash. Originally trained as a Biology teacher, Daniel was unsure what to do with his life until he came across fanfiction for his favourite anime and decided to have a go at writing his own. To this day, he still cringes at the memory of the cheesy terminology he used.
When not writing, Daniel enjoys a variety of activities, including running, going to the gym, bondage, watching anime, and the mass-slaying of virtual monsters in the hopes of receiving epic loot. One day, he hopes to become a werepanther and invent chocolate that can be eaten all day without making you fat.

Well, it’s the last day of the Slasherazzi blog tour. Seems like only yesterday the festivities began, and it’s been such a blast seeing so many people take part; sharing, commenting, entering the giveaways, etc. It’s an amazing feeling to have new people messaging me on Facebook, or posting on my wall, telling me they can’t wait to read my book, or they’d already devoured it and loved it.
The sense of community we have in the M/M genre is staggering. I see hundreds upon hundreds of people rallying to support those in need, raising incredible amounts of money. We see lifelong friendships, and even relationships, being formed right in front of our noses. All of this is beyond anything I could ever have imagined when I started writing.
My first foray into the world of M/M began in 2011. I’d written my first book ‘Dawn of Darkness’, and was working on edits to get it published. It was around this time I joined the M/M Romance group on Goodreads and started to make friends with people in the group on Facebook and Twitter.
By 2012, I’d made a few good friends, including Blaine D. Arden, who had messaged me about the UK GLBT Meet, which was taking place in Brighton. She persuaded me to go, and I’m so glad I did. I met a bunch of great authors and readers, including Aleks Voinov, whose books I absolutely love! I was nervous, of course, with it being my first time attending such an event. But I had a wonderful time, and the experience helped prepare me somewhat for my next event.
Later that year I travelled to Albuquerque for GayRomLit. Wow, there were so many people there that I almost freaked! I don’t think I’d ever been hugged so much in my life. I managed to meet with JP Barnaby, Ethan Stone, Lara Brukz, Poppy Dennison, Xara Xanaxas, Lynn Worst, and so many other wonderful people. Everyone was so supportive. I’ve never felt so welcome before.
Since then I’ve attended two more UK Meets, and GRL in Atlanta. I’m signed up this year for Chicago and am so looking forward to it. Not just because it’s a great opportunity for myself as a writer, but because I always have so much fun interacting with everyone, whether they’re old friends, or new.
Sometimes I wonder if things would have been the same had I decided to write in a different genre. And, I’d tempted to say no, they wouldn’t have been. There’s just something about our community that makes us stand out from the rest.
Maybe it’s because we’re a relatively small group. We’re growing, and fast, but compared to some of the more mainstream genres out there we’re still the baby of the family. Maybe it’s because, unlike other genres, we’re rallying around a cause; acceptance and equality. I’m not sure what exactly it is, but I do know that since joining the M/M world, I’ve made more friends—close friends that I know will still be on my friends list long after I retire—than I ever thought possible, and certainly a lot more than I’d made in other writing circles.
And another thing I love is how there is very little divide between author and reader. Sure there are times when you have to put your professional hat on and go be Mr. Author, but a lot of the time I don’t see myself as surrounded by readers… just friends.
So I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone I’ve met over the last few years. You’ve made my baptism into the M/M world one that I’ll never forget, and I hope to make many more connections and memories as our community really spreads its wings and explodes into the mainstream; it’s gonna happen.

Good luck with the release!
I totally agree with you. The M/M community has so many wonderful people. 🙂
I can’t wait to meet you in Chicago!
I can’t wait for Chicago. If it’s anything like the last GRL’s, it’s gonna be fantastic! Looking forward to seeing you there.
This looks so good. Can’t wait to read it.
I love the cover, and the story sounds intriguing too.
Thanks for the comment, Suze294. I love the cover too, and Adrian did a fantastic job with it. I’m not a fan of naked torsos, or overused stock models, and I think this cover does a good job of capturing the essence of the book.
This book is on my buy list and I keep checking AllRomance hoping it will eventually get there.
Hi Andrea. I’ll find out for you when we’re expecting the book to go live on ARe. Will let you know when I get a reply from my publisher, and thanks for stopping by.
this story sounds so intriguing and I love that you read the story for each perspective of the main characters – even the killer! I have this book on my wish list. I was interested how the author got into writing and those that have supported him.
Thank you for a chance to win this book 🙂
Daniel, meeting you has lead to so much fun. I feel very lucky. Being part of this community as a reader has been a wonderful experience.
