REVIEW:
I was intrigued when I read the blurb for this story. I was interested to see how Dylan who became gay for stay would react in the real world situations after he was released.
Dylan Hoss is this really good guy. He’s in prison for attempted murder and yet, he’s so honest. He accepts the responsibility of the consequences of what he did. He is kind, loving and very protective of those he cares about. He’s got the sense to stay out of trouble and yet, he stands up for what he knows is the right thing. He is nice to you and gives respect after you’ve earned it.
Joey is a good guy. He’s smart, a good friend and is so cute. He’s the kind of guy that you’d be able to tell your secrets too. He’s got such a good heart and isn’t out to truly hurt anyone. He’s got his own secrets that he doesn’t tell Dylan about, but as we all know, they never stay secrets for long. Joey wasn’t expecting to fall for Dylan and yet, that’s just what happens. What is he gonna do?
Keegan Malloy is this good- looking, wealthy guy who also happens to be an environmentalist. He’s the epitome of suave sophistication and someone you’d like to have in your life. He doesn’t take no for an answer, but he’s so charming about it, that you can’t say no and mean it. Keegan is dedicated to saving the environment and wants others to help make it happen.
This book was fast paced. The flow of the story was smooth and you were carried along on the ride. I found that even without reading the previous books, this book was a great standalone and even with characters from previous books being in this story, it didn’t detract from the story that was going on and I really appreciated it. The author gave brief insights into these characters and yet it was enough to give you the barest information on the characters without overwhelming the story.
You would think that this story would be fueled with lots of sex, but it wasn’t. What sex there was in the story was not explicit. The way it was written was to show an intimacy with the characters and not just for show. It was really kind of sweet they way the characters bonded and showed their new founded feelings for each other.
This was such a good read. I flew through this book. I sat down to read and was surprised when it was over. I couldn’t believe that it flew so fast. So if you have a want a good, solid read and want to be taken on a great trip, this is the book for you.
