Only a select few in the human world knew of the existence of the V-Unit, a small group of highly trained Marines – who happened to be vampires.
And it would have stayed that way.
But when events in the vampire world, threatened the stability of the human world, the powers that be called for the unit’s specialized services.
An intrepid war correspondent, Bronson Rudan, who’d seen more than his fair share of fighting, stumbles across the unit by accident, and is drawn into their world.
Bronson has no problem with that, given that he gets to spend time with a hunky Marine Lieutenant, Sarge. Although he won’t remember any of this when they’re through.
At least, that was the plan…

Review:
Holy Cow! Goddamn can I start with that? What a rollercoaster ride was this!
I cannot deny or lie about the fact that I was extremely excited to find out there was a new book coming from Max Vos and to get my hands on it of course.
This Author has me hooked on his writing and his style since I got a hold of Hawk ‘n Harley, the first book I read from his hand.
His writing style is captivating, refreshing, enlightening, passionate and spiky hot and lets not forget unexpected and surprising, but enough of that.
The V Unit his newest release had me mesmerized from the beginning. I am by all means not a vampire fan, it just isn’t my cup of tea.
But I have to say the characters of this story really got to me as a reader.
We meet main characters Bronson, war journalist and human and “Sarge” (David), the lieutenant of a special military unit called the V Unit, all specialized, highly trained vampire soldiers who are performing highly classified undercover operations.
Although the main characters are Bronson & Sarge, Mr Vos delivers an enthralling pallet of side characters with spokesperson for the Vampire community, Woody, his feeder/lover Marcus, the disturbed Burrows and fuck bunny’s Carson and Aquillar to name a few.
The story takes us over a path of attraction, of special operations, choices between life and death, friendship and betrayal.
With a rogue vampire clan on the loose and needing to be taken out the unit needs to make quick work. When the source and the leader become exposed none of the lives of the secret agents are sure anymore.
There are quite a couple of surprising elements in this eventful trip as I reflected on in my summary. Some of them, and I am not going to sugarcoat it, made me swallow hard and take a deep breath before continuing to read on. And just when you feel yourself safe and secure author Max Vos throws in what for me was the biggest shock, and not forgetting to mention he wraps it up in a most delightful way in the end.
So this all left me thinking how in the world am I going to review this book without giving away spoilers or too many or too specific details? And to think what is my overall feeling after all this?
There is no denying the fact that I went through a gamut of emotions and that I believe that this story is definitely not for everyone. But it also totally grabbed me from top to bottom, had me feeling , cheering, almost crying , gasping and slapping my hand over my mouth in shock and isn’t that what a story is all about? Making you feel all that, letting it take you on a ride through all those things and more?
To me it is a sign of a good, solid and complete story.
Top that off with connection with the characters, a great writing style and a hotness that is all Max Vos Style and I can’t leave this with a less than maximum rating.
Was it perfect? No. But it is a fantastic, fabulous, fascinating and compelling read even for a non vampire lover 😉

This sounds like a book I’d love except that I don’t care for menages. Could you please tell me if the majority of the sex scenes are more than M/M or are there only a few?
