BLURB: Sin & Seduction: Book Three
Sin & Seduction is closing its doors for good, and Dorian Grant’s being arrested for murder. The world has finally spun off its axis, and everybody involved has a role to play.
In the midst of this tragedy and strife, “Golden Boy” Lance moves his heart out of no-man’s-land, thanks to a Portuguese beauty, Davi “Amante Quente,” who shakes his sweet little physique all over Sin & Seduction’s stage. But Lance can’t consider a future with someone else until he faces the issues that have kept him out of relationships in the past. His belief that love is a myth is high on that list.
Meanwhile, Jason’s relationship with Brad has turned surreally domestic. Their lives are consumed with raising Brad’s little girl. Couple that with the urgency of saving jobs, and Jason’s stress level skyrockets into the red.
Life looks grim for the Sin & Seduction crew, and it will take something close to a miracle to save them all.
REVIEW: I thought this would be an interesting book to read. I vaguely remember reading the first book awhile ago and I think that I liked it. I figured it would be good to see how things turned out for Jansen and Dorian.
So, where to start. Jansen and Dorian are in a bit a mess. Dorian has been arrested and is in prison for about 6 months. Jansen is trying his best to stay positive, but he’s so very lost without his anchor. Dorian is going through his own issues while in the prison. He’s just trying to survive. Having to deal with a crazy cellmate and staying out of the gangs. He’s fighting for his life. They both want the very same thing, to have Dorian at home and for this mess to be over with.
Jason and Brad are back. This time they are having some issues of their own. Jason is trying to reconcile that his relationship with Brad is still solid, even with all of the changes that have happened. He’s also contending with the club closing and he’s trying to save the club and the jobs of the people who work there. Brad is ready to move the relationship forward. He’s in love with Jason and wants nothing more than to be with the man that he loves. He’s got his daughter, a good job and Jason. The only thing that he wants more is to married to Jason and really get their lives going on the direction towards forever.
Lance is feeling the pain still of unrequited love. He was in love with Jason and poured his heart out when he found out that Jason was dating Brad. Even though Jason still wanted to be friends, it’s been strained. Even two years later, it’s still not right. But it’s working, sort of. Lance is holding his heart behind a wall so that it can’t get broken again, however, he’s not expecting Davi.
Davi is this sweet, kind, innocent dancer that works at Sin and Seduction. He’s of Portuguese descent and the sweetest guy that has ever crossed the doors of Sin and Seduction. Davi is the kind of guy you settle down with and he’s scared about the club closing. If he doesn’t have a job, he’d have to go back home, something he really doesn’t want to do. He finds himself falling for Lance and having to fight Lance for the chance to hold his heart in his very tender hands.
I like that this book gave you the HEA’s for the guys in the previous stories and yet gave you a new couple to root for. I like that Lance fell for Davi and that he had to work through his issues to finally let Davi in. He fought it, yet he couldn’t let Davi go. It was nice that as much as Davi wanted he didn’t let Lance run and hide from him. He made Lance face what he wanted and the reasons that he kept trying to hide from him.
I found that the story flowed really smoothly. From each characters point of view. You were never confused as to who was talking or thinking. That the story never got boring. You flowed along on the ride and felt every emotion that the characters felt. You felt Jansen’s love for Dorian. His worry and grief for Dorian in prison. Jason’s worry for the club and his unsettledness about his relationship with Brad. You felt Lance’s worry regarding his feelings for Davi and wondering about his feelings regarding Jason. These guys laid it all on the line for you to see and feel.
I enjoyed this story. I liked that they seemed to wrap up all of the storylines. That the people that you’ve come to know and love and got to see how their lives have moved on. That even after getting together, that life still has a way of making things turn a bit upside down. I liked knowing that the guys were taken care of. That they had fallen in love and that they were making the right decisions for themselves and the ones that they loved.
It was a pleasurable few hours spent and I enjoyed the time with them. It was worth the read and especially if you loved the previous books and wanted to know how theirs lives have turned out.
