Welcome to the new visitors of the tour, and hello again to my returning friends. As I’ve been explaining throughout, Second Star to the Right is a romance story about a man seeking to define himself, an escort caught between the desire to find connection yet keep himself grounded, and how the brilliance of love can be the brightest light in dark skies if we’re willing to let it burn.
So… in an effort to attempt something a little different for this blog tour, I decided it might be cool to connect with you, the reader, and explain how I define myself. I sent out a call, asking “Inquiring Minds” to throw some questions at me, and offered to do my best to answer them. Let’s light up the sky together, and hopefully have a little fun in the process…
(Be sure to read through to the end for details on the release, as well as a chance to WIN your very own ebook copy.)
RaphaelDraw tweets: You meet Chuck Palahniuk, Stephen King. What would you like to talk about?
Henley replies: This question actually made me chuckle a little. I’m a horrible fan. I would either be scared shitless and not able to utter a single word, or scared shitless and end up becoming abrasive to the point of ignorant. Nick Cave once said “The more information you have, the more human our heroes become and consequently the less mysterious and godlike. They need to be godlike.”
Something I’ve learned about myself is that I do far better applauding as one part of a faceless audience then I do one on one.
Darkprism asks: Name a song you could stand to play at least three times a day every day for the rest of your life.
Henley replies: This is a tough one. I tend to go through phases in music so what worked for me a week ago doesn’t necessarily work for me today. David Bowie’s Starman is a good one because it has this kind of haunting, meaningful, magical quality to it without making me feel too sad, elated, or wound up.
Markus J asks: Did you ever plan out a project and then were afraid to start it cause it looked so interesting and big you were afraid it might overwhelm you and occupy your whole creative thinking?
Henley replies: The process terrifies me every single time. It *is* overwhelming, and it *does* occupy the whole of my creative thinking. It’s exhausting and frustrating and sometimes it’s downright humiliating. But I’m never too afraid to start. There are few things in life quite as satisfying as typing “The End.”
Anon asks: You seem to think you’re funnier than you actually are.
Henley replies: Thank you, Anon. I agree. But that isn’t really a question, now is it?
Second Star to the Right
By AF Henley
Be it unrequited fascination with his straight best friend or impossible fantasies of rekindled interest with his heartbreaking ex, Mason has no clue why the perfect connection seems to keep slipping through his fingers. When another lonely holiday seems like too much weight to shoulder, Mason gives up on romance and seeks out the next best thing—rented company. Jack is everything a person could want in an escort: willing, hot, and built like an angel.
Mason can’t resist. After all, who wouldn’t be interested in a guy who loves kid’s movies, is a self-professed Peter Pan, and has no problem throwing caution to the wind at a moment’s notice. But then interest quickly blooms into a whole new emotion—an emotion that Mason knows far too well, especially when Jack has no interest in returning it, preferring to keep his heart safely tucked away in Neverland.

About the Author:
Henley was born with a full-blown passion for run-on sentences, a zealous indulgence in all words descriptive, and the endearing tendency to overuse punctuation. Since the early years Henley has been an enthusiastic writer, from the first few I-love-my-dog stories to the current leap into erotica.
A self-professed Google genius, Henley lives for the hours spent digging through the Internet for ‘research purposes’ which, more often than not, lead seven thousand miles away from first intentions but bring Henley to new discoveries and ideas that, once seeded, tend to flourish.
Henley has been proudly working with LT3 since 2012, and has been writing like mad ever since—an indentured servant to the belief that romance and true love can mend the most broken soul. Even when presented in prose.

Thank you so much for hosting me today. It’s a pleasure and an an honour to be visiting your site again. <3
Is it cheating to reply to each and every one of these? xD
Okay I’m not replying to all of them, this is only my third.
I like the thought provoking questions that you get, always fun to read your answers. Of course this brings up the question, if you think you’re funnier than you are, and yet you are very entertaining, how funny do you find yourself? xD
I’m just teasing. Anyway, I want to purchase the book now, but I also want to wait and see if I win….so torn.

That’s great to read, thank you! Best of luck with the giveaway! 😀
I too do not really enjoy the idea of meeting my idols. Although I’d be sure to be struck speechless and just stare at them. Unless, I spent many hours concocting questions which I’d still be unable to ask most likely. sigh… aahickmanathotmaildotcom
I imagine that speechless is a good thing. At least we can’t get ourselves into trouble with speechless 😉
Good luck with the giveaway! <3
Always our pleasure to have you A.F 😉

Thanks, Lee. Glad you’re enjoying it! Good luck with the giveaway. 😀
I think I would handle meeting my favorite authors the same way i handle meeting just about anyone. hours of stress beforehand, followed by hiding behind the nearest potted plant till they leave and I’m free to go back to my relaxing, if solitary existence.
I find I am best when hidden behind computer screens (or stationary topiary…although, I guess most topiary is by nature, stationary. Unless it was on wheels…), plus it is much easier to stalk people when they don’t know what you look like. 😛
LOL! So very true! XD
Thank you for the chuckle first thing in the morning. Great way to start a day. Good luck with the giveaway! 😀
Loved the Q&A. The story sounds interesting. Thanks for the chance to win a copy.
