ROYAL LOVE
Interview with Prince Michael, Darren Wilson, Ambassador David Windsor
“So, your highness, how does it feel to be married now, to the son of the U.S. President?”
“It’s not so much as to who he is in the world as it is the fact that he’s the one I fell in love with. In that vein, I’m delighted and have never been so happy.”
“How did the Palace handle news of your relationship with Darren? Oh, and of course, your plans to marry a commoner?”
“Everyone in the Royal Family has been supportive of both my dating Darren, and when I announced that we were to be married. All of my cousins attended the wedding which was brilliant!”
“What’s the story on Darren’s wedding ring? We’ve heard lots of rumors.”
“King William decided that if Darren was joining the family, that he should have a ring that represented that as well as my love for him. It’s the former ring of King Edward the Eight. Instead of hiding it away somewhere dark and dingy, it shines on my husband’s hand as brilliantly as the ring Darren gave to me.”
“And your Lordship, how does it feel being married into the Royal Family. Are you use to your duties as the Duke of Sussex, and different life style?”
“I’m very happy with all of the above. But most of all, I’m happy with the man I married. I would have married him even if he worked in a fish and chips shop!”
“Do you see yourself functioning for the Palace with official duties?”
“I’m afraid you’d have to ask the Palace about that.”
“If he’s asked, he’ll do what is required of him. King William has been outstanding towards these two young men and my cousin is someone to be proud of…not just for this, but what he’s doing for England,” chimed in Ambassador Windsor.
“How about you Mr. Ambassador, were you surprised when the Duke came to you and told you he was in love with a member of the Royal Family?”
“First of all, nothing Darren has ever done has surprised me. Second, it was only natural that he would fall in love with someone, and why not Prince Michael? They make a great couple, they are deeply in love, and they belong together.”
“Can you comment on whether or not the White House fully supported this marriage?”
“I think I can say that once the President was over the surprise that she was to have a Prince as a son-in-law, she was just as happy as the rest of us. When Prince Michael represented the crown at her wedding, she knew that her son had made the right choice.”
“Thank you all for your time. This has been Mark Rutgers, reporting for the BBC.”
ABOUT THE BOOK
Blurb: With their adopted son Jack safe and sound back at the Winfield House, US Ambassador David Windsor and his husband, ex-Secret Service Agent Shane Thompson-Windsor, begin to settle into a routine. Shane’s attention to the security of the US President’s adult son, Airman Darren Wilson, keeps them busy, however. While David and Shane think they have President Victoria Wilson’s son under wraps, Darren carries on as carefree as any young man in the arms of a man he’s sure he loves: Prince Michael.
Discreet outings in the English countryside and days spent visiting castles fill Darren and Michael’s time, under the ever-present eyes of security, the US ambassador, and Shane. But an incident at a gay nightclub leaves their guards scrambling. What will Darren’s mother think? How will the King react? Darren and Prince Michael’s love affair might be over before it even begins.
