REVIEW:
Felicitas Ivey has created a wonderful world that I would love to go and visit.
Gunnar is feeling alone at Christmas and finds himself lost in snow storm. He is literally rescued by a knight in shining armor and finds a place where he feels at home.
His knight is Celyn and it’s immediately evident that he’s intrigued and fascinated by Gunnar and doesn’t mind letting him know it.
I love the bits of Icelandic lore throughout the story as I’ve always been a sucker for legends and mythology. The inclusion of the Yule Cat made me smile and I found myself looking up even more of her story.
The whole story is smart, fun and sweet just like the characters the author has created.
This is the kind of short story I love. It has detail, a complete storyline and you aren’t left feeling like something is missing. The only complaint I have is that I would have loved to have seen it gone on much, much longer in the whole “I love this story so please don’t ever let it end” kind of way.
